Bush Hypocracy August 21 2006
(Path of my Life)
Bush claims democratic ideals with only 29% support
Date: 8/21/2006 10:52:33 AM ( 18 y ago)
Pres Bush held a press conferance this morning. Questions were asked about the middle east turmoil, and Bush reiterated much of his tired old rhetoric.
Therefore, I will too!!
Pres. Bush declares that it is unnacceptable to allow A "State within a State to be launching attacks on a soveriegn nation" [Hezbolla in Lebanon attacking Israel].
Bush also says that Al Queda is doing things like blowing up those mosques in their effort to create the civil unrest and internal war of Shia and Sunnis in Iraq; that America must stay there in Iraq to ensure they can become a democracy where the will of the people is carried out.
Looking at the USA now, with only 39% of the population supporting continued USA military presence in Iraq, and only 29% support for this presidency, "the will of the people" is not being done in America, yet Bush pretends to be such a champion of democracy that his government has the right to invade soveriegn nations to install democracy.
The Bush government is acting very much like "a state with in a state" that Bush describes Hezbolla in Lebanon as being. The obvious difference is that Bush was elected and Hezbolla was not, but even in that we cannot forget that Bush did not get a majority of the votes and that Hezbolla has the support of most of the population of Lebanon as well as [quiet] support from the elected Lebanese government.
Taking it to the near future, Bush's political party might become un-elected and Hezbolla could become elected as the government in Lebanon. Then we would have "de-facto total hypocracy" if USA troops are still in the middle east nations, uninvited and unwelcome.
Also, I must point out a possible conspiracy in that Al Queda seems to be helping Bush at every turn. 9-11 was what allowed Bush to go "all the way to Baghdad", and 9-11 was apparently carried out by Al Queda. Now, Al Queda blows up mosques in Iraq to create more Sunni-Shia conflict so there will be civil war in Iraq, another excuse for the USA troops to stay there "as long as it takes"[as long as possible?].
This is what Bush wants, he wants American prescence in Iraq and the middle east to ensure the flow of oil, cheap oil, continues to come to America. [Crude oil is where the Bush family and their Elite friends make the most profit in the energy industry, and any shortages would just "embolden" the alterative energy sources] Civil War in Iraq is good for Bush, he thanks Al Queda, again.
I cannot end this without addressing Bush's continued stance that "Hezbolla started it", that "Lebanon brought the destruction on itself" of its largest cities and over 1000 civilian deaths, by lobbing rockets into Israel. That stance has been rejected by the rest of the world leaders [except Canada's PM Harper] as shortsighted, that the long history of the Israeli-Arab conflict has totally obliterated any such finger pointing, that all the aggressions are in retaliation for past aggressions and "who started it" is an impossible charge.
Officially, it was the kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers by palestinians that brought on the bombing by Israel, and that was in retaliation for the +1000 Palestinian women and children being held by Israel without charges, and that was in retaliation for rockets being lobbed into Israel and that was in retaliation for bombings and that was in retaliation for rockets and kidnappings and that was in retaliation for some bombings and kidnappings and that was in retaliation for some rockets and that was in retaliation for some kidnappings.
And THATS what started it, so ya, go ahead and invade Lebaonon???????????? What a load.
The world is shouting at Bush to "Get out, stay out, let them decide their own nation's future without interferance from America" [or whomever is running it at the moment]. This is democracy across the globe speaking to you President Bush!!!
[and get off the fossil fuels too, you are stinking up the place].
