Dixie is as Dixie does...

We all have heard of Dixie but what is it??

Well it is a place, a time, a frame of mind and even a dream...  All these things...

First you most likely know it refers to a geographical area in the SE USA...  Yes that is true but it is far more...

Some people think of Dixie as a past period of time...  The so called antebellum era!! Of course it is that also...  Yet this would only limit it to a place and period of time... Which is true to an extent...

Yet it is much more; for it is a frame of mind, the thought and will of a people...  These are a proud people who have faced the test of time and came through victorious...  That is they have been through the wringer as we say down South; and came out in great shape...  The thought and feelings of the people who have made up Dixie goes on as a spirit of determination...

It is this spirit of determination and will that sets Dixie apart from many others... Dixie has always stood for the determination to do what is right...  Many people have lost sight of this will of Dixie...

The will to do what is right and stand for principles and core values is part of what makes modern Dixie...  The symbolism of the Confederate resistance and ensuing  years of oppression and grief have helped carved out the character of Dixie...  So it has been a proud heritage of progress and steadfast beliefs that have given rise to the concept of modern Dixie...

We will show more views on Dixie in future blogs, and further display how the strong will of it's people have triumphed over diversity...

Stop back...

See ya... Kermit
