What is DIXIE??
(Southern Etiquette or life in Dixie)
Dixie is as Dixie does... Yet we all have some half baked ideas of exactly what that is.... Lets look see... Ya hear!!

What is Dixie exactly?? Well some say it is just that land south of the M/D line... Some say it is a group of states in the southern US... Some say it is some whacked out hill billies, who don't know when to come in out of the rain... Some say it is a by gone dream... Some say it is just a mystic idea and yet it exist....
Much of that is correct and many of you have seen felt and been a part of Dixie... So to you it is a real choice, a place, and much more than a dream... It is the stuff that people have lived for, and died for... It is a place where people have built their dreams and lives.... It is a place that has been the flavor and desire of a nation...
So we will say that it is as real as you make it, as beautiful as you want it, as nice as any place can be on God's green earth, yet it is as perfect as a picture post card... This along with the essence of it's people, it's places, it's desires, and it is even real to some people...
It is the best of places, and the worst of places, yet it serves as a dream to many, and a land of milk and honey to others... It has a purpose and a reason.. It has a cause and an effect... It has a balance and a bearty... It has all the things that make up a proud people's home... It is Dixie...
"Where I was born on frosty morn, "{11th of January to be exact} and when I have been away in some distant foreign lands, or far states, " I wish I were in the land of Cotton, look away, look away, Dixie land..." And so it goes for all those who know Dixie in their hearts....
God bless Dixie and all those who live there... And may GOD most richly bless all of us in this great country of which Dixie is an important part as well as all those on God's green earth... That is what Dixie is to me and many others who either live here now or have lived here... The best to you all.... Is my prayer, folks....
