First off, I noticed that two blogs have been deleted. Most unfortunate. That's why I try not to discuss my personal political beliefs or highlight any particular situation unless it has complete, total relevance to my life. This internet thing isn't that serious that we need to get into debates, etc. where people end up getting banned. It's a health website where people should be built up. Just my two cents.

Next, I found out some news that sent me into a depression yesterday. I called the 1199 union to find out the correction information regarding tuition benefits. My first clue from my 'conscience' or 'intuition' was when I found out that the agency was a 'closed union shop'. I am not fond of unions having worked in a closed union shop before. Also, I was asking a lot of questions in class and the union representative asked me to leave and go speak to the supervisor. Actually, I met the head of the human resources deparment to explain the benefits to me. Well it turns out that I have to wait a whole YEAR before I qualify for tuition reimbursement. Right now, I make a dismal amount as a home health aide and I drive. I'm also getting married in eight months not a year and can't even go to the school anyway. You would think that this news would overshadow this stuff but it's not. I am just beside myself because I have to quit something I just started. I feel as if this agency is trying to pull a fast one anyway. The home care industry has a high turnover rate.

Anyway, more on this later. I have work today then all till Saturday night. I am going to fast Sunday and make a pilgrimage to St.Anthony's shrine in New York City.
