These are photos from our Enchanted Garden World Environment Day Exhibit at Parque de Professor in Tecate, Baja, Mexico.

Jessica Palomarez, daughter of Manuelita Ching,
concierge at Rancho La Puerta, helped with translating
numbers of our Enchanted Garden signage into Spanish.
She helped us out at the exhibit from around 1-4:30 PM.
and made a big difference.
The view to the right is the Plant Your Dream Altar.
Also in the picture are two of the yoga instructors
from Rancho La Puerta who stopped by our exhibit.
They are writing out Seed Dreams:
"Today I am planting my dream.
Today I am planting a Beautiful Tomorrow."
Daniel Dominguez, Education Director of
the Fundacion La Puera helped translate
those words into Spanish.
The History of Peace on Earth:
Arcelia Srteaga Flores,
The Fire Keeper & High Priestess of Cuchuma,
the Sacred Mountain, spend a number of hours
in at our Exhibit. When we create do the Plant Your Dream Work,
we create a Sacred Altar.
The Altar was Blessed by those who did the opening ceremony
for our World Environment, those who had been fasting and dancing
at at a nearby Earth Dance.
Then, in afternoon, Arcelia did sacred work here.
I wanted to create an activity where the children created
Head bands in Spanish. I found there was no adequate word
for "Soil" in Spanish.
Compañeros Del Suelo de la Tierra"
seemed one option...."Del Suelo" was a third
listing in a Spanish dictionary...but the first listing
did not apply.
"Compañeros de la Tierra"
Translated as Friends of the Earth.
I wanted something that had the concept of the Soil...
The Soil is the womb of Mother Earth.
Plants grow from the Fertile Soil.
One of my Seed Dreams for this Holy Day
was to coin a new word.
Through out the day, we had various Medicine People spending time.
One was from the Kumeyaai, a local Tribe, Jose Aldama.
He wrote: "La Tierra en Kumeyai se dice "Mat."
So far, we have come up with
"Compañeros de la Mat."
