No Competition Between Farmers
(Plant Your Dream!)

No Competition Between Farmers by YourEnchantedGardener .....

There is no competition between San Diego County Organic Locally Growing Farmers. We have more mouths to feed with Real Foodthan there is food now growing. We have fewer farmers and gardeners than we need to ensure True Home Land Food Safety in our Bioregion. Enchanted Garden is now taking steps to play a part in the planting a New Era of interest in gardening for Kids, and organic farming in our Bioregion.

This is a page from
"The Comeback of Joe the Farmer"
a children's book. Pictured in the
images is (L) to (R)
Joe Rodriguez Jr of JR Organics and Barry Cogan of La Milpa Organica Farms.
Barry was an early signer of "A Love Letter to Joe the Farmer'
that aims to launch a campaign for Joe to repurchase the land where
he now farms, as play a role in indentifying other key farm land
that Enchanted Garden would like to see designated and set aside for
growing food in our BioRegion.

This is a flyer for Noel Stehly,
of Stehly Organic Farms.

There is no competition between them.

Joe's vision is to create a learning center
where a new generation of farmers are trained.
He is concerned that most farmers are now in their
60's. Family Farming needs a boost from the New Food and Farm Bill,
and San Diego is one of the prime areas for Family Farms
to once again take hold.

When we look to the health of our Region, we need
to look at the health of our Bioregion.

We are part of a Growing Delta than includes San Diego
County, as well as the fertile areas to the South
across the border.

It is in the best interests of Food Security in San Diego
to make sure that a new generation of Family Farmers in Mexico--
in our Bioregion are fostered.

It is toward this end that I am dedicating
Enchanted Garden Neighbors,
the Enchanted Garden Installation at
June 2 an an World Environment Day Activity
at Professoris Park, in Tecate, Mexico.

The event is organized by the Fundacion La Puerta.
This Foundation has done meaningful and significant projects
to ensure an healthy bioregion.

IT is an honor for Enchanted Garden to participate in
this event that will aim to inspire more than 5000 Tecate
Kids.

Your Enchanted Gardener,
Leslie
