Feeling a bit down, as if your batteries are low? Congratulations you are in sync with the Winter Solstice

Have you been feeling a bit down?
Congratulations, you are in sync with the
Winter Solstice that occurs sometime tomorrow,
10 AM or so on the West Coast.
I have been feeling down myself, and this
is exascerbated by the fact that most of us do not
live in harmony with Nature.
Tomorrow is the longest night of the year.
There is less light. If we lived in a natural way
we would be honoring that these are also times
when the Calendar of the Soul is more quiet.
The last leaves are falling off my Nectarine tree.
It is time to clear and clean, and prep the soil.
Prepping the Soil now means taking inventory
spiritually and emotionally. It means feeling around
or being aware that emotions and core feelings are near
the surface.
Then, tomorrow night we light the a fire, and each day
thereafter, we have more and more lighter days.
The lighting of the Yule log,
the lighting of Chanukah candles for eight days,
the lighting of a candlelabra for Kawanzaa,
all these come together this year.
Christmas Day is the first night of Chanukah
and Kawanzaa.
So I hope you take some time to reflect on your own
life on this the Winter Solstice that comes tomorrow
and do some kind of ritual.
