Irag Reality Check by YourEnchantedGardener .....

Irag Reality Check...

Date:   8/13/2005 7:42:48 AM ( 19 y ago)

Just got up to blog out some angry feelings
still under my skin, but checked my email first.
This is from Ariella Shira who is a member of
the inner Enchanted Garden Club Sponsor Circle.

She will be having a Blog here before long.
Her work is with the Crystal Cradle.,
the Indigo Children.
This is something that she sent.
It is Sobering.

I would love to hear some comments
from our CureZone Family who have a counter
point of view and believe that Mr. Bush is
working in the best interests of our troops.

I would love to hear from our CureZone Family
about veterans they personally know who have served/
or are currently serving in Irag.

My personal feeling is that killing is disrespectful to
life, killing of any kind. I also know that sometimes life
is sacrificed and the life taken needs to be respectfully
thanks for giving of its life to sustain our own.

The Essenes were vegetarians, and one of the few
cultures in history that actually lived on a raw food regimen
much of the time.

When I worked with Kevin Ryerson bringing through the
Essene School of Thought Library during 1979. Spirit
worked very hard to get me to adapt to a rawsome diet.

I was not able to do this.

Last year, I almost died after the 5th Feng Shui Conference.
I used up a rainforest in toilet paper. I could not digest anything
for many, many months. the night before the conference, I ended
up in the emergency room in SLO, CA. I drank poison for them
to do a Catskan. i was able to set up the Altar and do the conference
covering up intense kidney stone pain with ibuprofen (sp/) for 18 days.

Then, I weaned off of it.

When I finally got to a kidney specialist, he could not find
any sign of kidney stones although the pain the night before
the conf was so severe, that Morea was ready to drive me home
back to SD.

I believe it was the energy of the conf that actually healed and dissoved
the kidney stones, but of course, i had to then deal with the iotronic effects
of the drugs.

Severe diarrhea set in. I lost lots of weight. I refused to take
more western med drugs.

I was hurting emotionally from some incidents that happened
with the African Shaman Mandaza. See Recent blog about him.

He basically said to my former lover and soulmate friend:

"You and this man are going to be together even after you leave
this body. You are his medicine. How much do you love him?"

She said something like, "She loved me as a friend," which was her
honest feeling. Then he asked us to go in an do a tarot reading.

The first card that was picked was the hermaphodite, in other words
male and female in one body...a very close connection.

My best friend basically said to me that i had manipulated the reading
through my psychic powers. She did not want to hear anything about
us being related in such a manner.

i was deeply wounded by this.

I mean, at the time I was feeling.
This woman is my soulmate.

What kind of a man chooses a soulmate who does not want
to be lovers?

Since then, I have done some extradinary healing with this
soul mate. I have learned so much from her.

I have learned that there are thousands of ways to make love.

I have basically released her as a sex partner because i am no longer
at a place in my life where i need sex to fulfill my unfulfilled needs.

I am incredibly happy in the relationship that way it is.

Sometimes I tell her, if she wants to make love in a physical way,
I am sure I will be the first to know.

For the most part, I just love her. I love her the way she desires to be
loved in any given moment. This is good for me.

There will always be a sexua| dynamic between us.

We are both sexua| beings and very intimate in many, many ways.

However, I do not feel a need to project any kind of sexua| pressure.
She is an incredible woman. I so enjoy her is so many ways.

I will always find her attractive and want to take trips with her.

However, I can live with it, however, she shows up sexually.

The main thing is that she trusts me.
I know she does. Sometimes, I wish she would say
to me, "Leslie, I am so proud of you."

The truth is, somethings when I am doing things,
I am doing them because I want her to be proud of me.

That is just how i feel.

Everyone needs to have someone that they love,
and i love this woman.

At the recent Feng shui conf, i had the most gorgeous
women of the conf lavishing me with eye contact, soul contact,
physical juices, willingness to be touched, affectionate words
such as calling me sweetheart, etc. I was having fun with
many, many women, but if i had a choice to have sex with any of them,
it was not something that i desired.

Because of my relationship with my friend, I feel satisfied
most of the time, in the memories that we have shared.

We go to God when we have sex.

This is not something to mess with.

I would rather be monogamous because it takes so very long
to build up a rapport with someone.

She is never boring. She inspired poems. I love to see her growing.

Wow!

Where did all this come from?

Oh well, maybe it will heal the war in Irag.

I have been saying, if you increase understanding between one
man and one woman, you have taken organic steps to enter the
Enchanted Garden.

War does not exist in the purest state of Eden.
The EG is Heaven on Earth.

One day my best friend will no longer have symtoms
of her present condition.

I know that when we get to God, God will say,
I loved myself well through loving her.

Every woman needs someone to love her no matter what,
through whining, through her need to speak up,
through her need to put you in your place when you are
off--

Every woman needs someone to simply love her no matter
what.

This kind of love is enuf to heal anything.

I truth my best friend is my best medicine.

She does the same for me.

I am filled with my own wholeness because she
gives me the gift of her truth, whatever is it.

And bottomline, I never will know what she will be doing
next. I know whatever it is, be it having sex, not having sex,
finding new and myriad ways to make love even without sex,
i have a great thing with her.

Dahr Jamail's Iraq Dispatches

August 05, 2005

"What Have We Done?"

As the blood of US soldiers continues to drain into the hot sands of Iraq over the last several days with at least 27 US soldiers killed and the approval rating for his handling of the debacle in Iraq dropping to an all-time low of 38%, Mr. Bush commented from the comforts of his ranch in Crawford, Texas today, "We will stay the course, we will complete the job in Iraq."

Just a two hour drive away in Dallas, at the Veterans for Peace National Convention in Dallas, I'm sitting with a roomful of veterans from the current quagmire.

When asked what he would say to Mr. Bush if he had the chance to speak to him, Abdul Henderson, a corporal in the Marines who served in Iraq from March until May, 2003, took a deep breath and said, "It would be two hits-me hitting him and him hitting the floor. I see this guy in the most prestigious office in the world, and this guy says 'bring it on'‚ A guy who ain't never been shot at, never seen anyone suffering, saying 'bring it on?'. He gets to act like a cowboy in a western movie it's sickening to me."

The other vets with him nod in agreement as he speaks somberly his anger seething.

One of them, Alex Ryabov, a corporal in an artillery unit which was in Iraq the first three months of the invasion, asked for some time to formulate his response to the same question.

"I don't think Bush will ever realize how many millions of lives he and his lackeys have ruined on their quest for money, greed and power," he says, "To take the patriotism of the American people for granted the fact that people (his administration) are willing to lie and make excuses for you while you continue to kill and maim the youth of America and ruin countless families and still manage to do so with a smile on your face."

Taking a deep breath to steady himself he continues as if addressing Bush first-hand: "You needs to resign, take the billions of dollars you've made off the blood and sweat of US service members, all the suffering you've caused us, and put those billions of dollars into the VA to take care of the men and women you sent to be slaughtered. Yet all those billions aren't enough to even try to compensate all the people who have been affected by this."

The gates of hell

August 7, 2005

The headline of this article is not a title of a science fiction film. It truthfully translates what is currently taking place in Iraq.

The gates of hell are now wide open - thanks to U.S. invasion - and their fires have enveloped almost everything in our country.

There is no electricity, no water, no fuel, no food rations, no security, no sewage …

There is terror everywhere and there is fear of everything - fear of the present and of what lies ahead in the future.

All indications tell that our future is bleak as there is nothing left in this country that makes you feel secure about your own future and that of your children.

What is happening is not a war, rebellion or insurgency. It is mass killing and annihilation coupled with torture and brutal and barbaric dismembering of innocent people.

Bombing and shelling of towns goes ahead and no one gives a damn for the lives lost and property damaged.

Politicians have not honored any of the promises they made during elections. There is a dangerous decline in the public services and government performance.

The shock we have received since U.S. troops landed in our midst and the new is beyond description.

Fear and terror have gripped the nation. Wherever you are at any time of the day you are liable to be killed by a stray bullet.

Stray bullets are no longer the prerogative of U.S. troops and their tormentors - the insurgents.

Almost everyone in Iraq now use their guns to shoot in order to scare, wound or kill.

If the bodyguards of a senior official want to reach a destination on time and are delayed by traffic jam, they fire in the air to scare other drivers to give way.

If someone is injured or killed as a result it is his or her problem.

Killing by mistake is now perhaps one of the main causes of death in Iraq.

Trust between the people and the government has collapsed. And now we are at the mercy of the stars because neither U.S. troops nor the government have the slightest idea of who is blowing up whom and why?

U.S. base in Paraguay established to protect Sun Myung Moon's water and land resources

With U.S. troops currently protecting Halliburton's oil operations in Iraq and the CentGas pipeline in Afghanistan, U.S. troops are now being sent to Paraguay, complete with immunity from criminal prosecution by Paraguay or the International Criminal Court, to protect the millions of acres of Paraguayan water and land resources bought over the years by religious cult leader Sun Myung Moon. It is not coincidental that Moon's Unification Church has many followers within the Bush administration. Last month, 500 U.S. troops arrived in Paraguay to expand the Mariscal Estigarriba air base to handle large U.S. military transport planes. Moon's land acquisitions in Chaco Province are just north of the huge Guarani aquifer, one of the world's largest sources of fresh water. In addition, Moon has acquired large tracts of land on the Brazilian side of the Paraguayan border. Local villagers in Paraguay and Brazil claim that most of Moon's land acquisitions were fraudulent and illegal. Moon's World Unification Church operates in Paraguay under a corporate contrivance called the Victoria Company. Paraguay has also announced that everyone entering and leaving Paraguay will be photographed and fingerprinted. Not coincidentally, the new border control system is being financed by South Korea.

There is clearly a split within the Paraguayan government, with the Vice President and Pentagon neo-con ally Luis Castiglioni negotiating, along with a majority in the Paraguayan Congress, close bilateral military ties with the United States, apparently without the concurrence of President Nicanor Duarte. It is no coincidence that considering the oil-centric Bush administration, the Mariscal Estigarriba air base is close to large Bolivian natural gas reserves in the neighboring Bolivian provinces of Santa Cruz and Tarija.

The U.S. move in Paraguay comes at the same time the U.S. is stepping up its "counter-narcotics" operations from its Manta, Ecuador base and Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez is accusing the United States of using Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) personnel in Latin America as espionage agents trying to destabilize his government. In addition, the Paraguayan military operations are seen as a Bush administration attempt to intimidate neighboring Bolivia, where MAS Socialist party and coca farmer (cocalero) leader Evo Morales is poised to become the next President in scheduled December elections after years of popular demonstrations which saw Bolivian workers and peasants deposing a series of pro-U.S. presidents. A Morales government would add another anti-U.S. and free trade government in South America, joining Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

So soon, the mothers and fathers of U.S. military personnel will be able to take comfort in sacrificing the lives of their sons and daughters for a self-proclaimed Messiah, a non-English speaking Korean who claims to have saved the souls of Jesus, Moses, Mohammed, Buddha, Stalin, and Hitler and communicates regularly with others in his departed flock of adherents, including all the deceased Presidents of the United States (who, Moon claims, appointed Richard Nixon as their spokesman from the "hereafter").

August 10, 2005 -- Moonie Alert! As a follow-up to the article below on U.S. troops arriving in Paraguay to protect Sun Myung Moon's land holdings, there is this alarming report: Moon Unification Church official and WashingtonTimes deputy managing editor Josette Sheeran Shiner has been nominated by President Bush to be U.S. Alternate Governor of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Inter-American Development Bank, the African Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the African Development Fund. Shiner has also been nominated to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). Shiner, who has been Deputy U.S. Trade Representative, became a member of Moon's cult in 1975 when she was recruited in college. Moon's phenomenal wealth has been linked to Asian organized criminal gangs; gambling businesses in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao; and Asian prostitution rings. Now one of his followers will be involved with multi-billion dollar loans for projects and programs in the world's developing nations. Nice move Mr. Bush!

Election Fraud Continues in the US

New Data Shows Widespread Vote Manipulations in 2004

By Peter Phillips

In the fall of 2001, after an eight-month review of 175,000 Florida ballots never counted in the 2000 election, an analysis by the National Opinion Research Center confirmed that Al Gore actually won Florida and should have been President. However, coverage of this report was only a small blip in the corporate media as a much bigger story dominated the news after September 11, 2001.

New research compiled by Dr. Dennis Loo with the University of Cal Poly Pomona now shows that extensive manipulation of non-paper-trail voting machines occurred in several states during the 2004 election. The facts are as follows: In 2004 Bush far exceeded the 85% of registered Florida Republican votes that he got in 2000, receiving more than 100% of the registered Republican votes in 47 out of 67 Florida counties, 200% of registered Republicans in 15 counties, and over 300% of registered Republicans in 4 counties. Bush managed these remarkable outcomes despite the fact that his share of the crossover votes by registered Democrats in Florida did not increase over 2000, and he lost ground among registered Independents, dropping 15 points. We also know that Bush "won" Ohio by 51-48%, but statewide results were not matched by the court-supervised hand count of the 147,400 absentee and provisional ballots in which Kerry received 54.46% of the vote. In Cuyahoga County, Ohio the number of recorded votes was more than 93,000 greater than the number of registered voters.
More importantly national exit polls showed Kerry winning in 2004. However, It was only in precincts where there were no paper trails on the voting machines that the exit polls ended up being different from the final count. According to Dr. Steve Freeman, a statistician at the University of Pennsylvania, the odds are 250 million to one that the exit polls were wrong by chance. In fact, where the exit polls disagreed with the computerized outcomes the results always favored Bush - another statistical impossibility.
Dennis Loo writes, "A team at the University of California at Berkeley, headed by sociology professor Michael Hout, found a highly suspicious pattern in which Bush received 260,000 more votes in those Florida precincts that used electronic voting machines than past voting patterns would indicate compared to those precincts that used optical scan read votes where past voting patterns held."

There is now strong statistical evidence of widespread voting machine manipulation occurring in US elections since 2000. Coverage of the fraud has been reported in independent media and various websites. The information is not secret. But it certainly seems to be a taboo subject for the US corporate media.

Black Box Voting (http://www.blackboxvoting.org.) reported on March 9, 2005 that voting machines used by over 30 million voters were easily hacked by relatively unsophisticated programs and audits of the computers would not show the changes. It is very possible that a small team of hackers could have manipulated the 2004 and earlier elections in various locations throughout the United States. Irregularities in the vote counts certainly indicate that something beyond chance occurrences has been happening in recent elections.

That a special interest group might try to cheat on an election in the United States is nothing new. Historians tell us how local political machines from both major parties have in the past used methods of double counting, ballot box stuffing, poll taxes and registration manipulation to affect elections. In the computer age, however, election fraud can occur externally without local precinct administrators having any awareness of the manipulations - and the fraud can be extensive enough to change the outcome of an entire national election.

There is little doubt key Democrats know that votes in 2004 and earlier elections were stolen. The fact that few in Congress are complaining about fraud is an indication of the totality to which both parties accept the status quo of a money based elections system. Neither party wants to further undermine public confidence in the American "democratic" process (over 80 millions eligible voters refused to vote in 2004). Instead we will likely see the quiet passing of legislation that will correct the most blatant problems. Future elections in the US will continue as an equal opportunity for both parties to maintain a national democratic charade in which money counts more than truth.
Peter Phillips is a Professor of Sociology at Sonoma State University and Director of Project Censored. Dennis Loo's report "No Paper Trail Left Behind: the Theft of the 2004 Presidential Election," can be viewed at http://www.projectcensored.org/newsflash/voter_fraud.html

VERY OMINOUS SIGN OF AN IMMINENT EXPANSION OF THE INTENSITY OF GLOBAL WARMING!

Warming Hits 'Tipping Point'

Siberia feels the heat

It's a frozen peat bog the size of France and Germany combined, contains billions of tonnes of greenhouse gas and, for the first time since the ice age, it is melting.

By Ian Sample

A vast expanse of western Siberia is undergoing an unprecedented thaw that could dramatically increase the rate of global warming, climate scientists warn today.

Researchers who have recently returned from the region found that an area of permafrost spanning a million square kilometers - the size of France and Germany combined - has started to melt for the first time since it formed 11,000 years ago at the end of the last ice age.

The area, which covers the entire sub-Arctic region of western Siberia, is the world's largest frozen peat bog and scientists fear that as it thaws, it will release billions of tonnes of methane, a greenhouse gas 20 times more potent than carbon dioxide, into the atmosphere.

It is a scenario climate scientists have feared since first identifying "tipping points" - delicate thresholds where a slight rise in the Earth's temperature can cause a dramatic change in the environment that itself triggers a far greater increase in global temperatures.

The discovery was made by Sergei Kirpotin at Tomsk State University in western Siberia and Judith Marquand at Oxford University and is reported in New Scientist today.

The researchers found that what was until recently a barren expanse of frozen peat is turning into a broken landscape of mud and lakes, some more than a kilometer across.

Dr Kirpotin told the magazine the situation was an "ecological landslide that is probably irreversible and is undoubtedly connected to climatic warming". He added that the thaw had probably begun in the past three or four years.

Climate scientists yesterday reacted with alarm to the finding, and warned that predictions of future global temperatures would have to be revised upwards.

"When you start messing around with these natural systems, you can end up in situations where it's unstoppable. There are no brakes you can apply," said David Viner, a senior scientist at the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia.

"This is a big deal because you can't put the permafrost back once it's gone. The causal effect is human activity and it will ramp up temperatures even more than our emissions are doing."

In its last major report in 2001, the intergovernmental panel on climate change predicted a rise in global temperatures of 1.4C-5.8C between 1990 and 2100, but the estimate only takes account of global warming driven by known greenhouse gas emissions.
"These positive feedbacks with landmasses weren't known about then. They had no idea how much they would add to global warming," said Dr Viner.

Western Siberia is heating up faster than anywhere else in the world, having experienced a rise of some 3C in the past 40 years. Scientists are particularly concerned about the permafrost, because as it thaws, it reveals bare ground which warms up more quickly than ice and snow, and so accelerates the rate at which the permafrost thaws.

Siberia's peat bogs have been producing methane since they formed at the end of the last ice age, but most of the gas had been trapped in the permafrost. According to Larry Smith, a hydrologist at the University of California, Los Angeles, the west Siberian peat bog could hold some 70bn tons of methane, a quarter of all of the methane stored in the ground around the world.

The permafrost is likely to take many decades at least to thaw, so the methane locked within it will not be released into the atmosphere in one burst, said Stephen Sitch, a climate scientist at the Met Office's Hadley Center in Exeter.

But calculations by Dr Sitch and his colleagues show that even if methane seeped from the permafrost over the next 100 years, it would add around 700m tons of carbon into the atmosphere each year, roughly the same amount that is released annually from the world's wetlands and agriculture.

It would effectively double atmospheric levels of the gas, leading to a 10% to 25% increase in global warming, he said.

Tony Juniper, director of Friends of the Earth, said the finding was a stark message to politicians to take concerted action on climate change. "We knew at some point we'd get these feedbacks happening that exacerbate global warming, but this could lead to a massive injection of greenhouse gases.

"If we don't take action very soon, we could unleash runaway global warming that will be beyond our control and it will lead to social, economic and environmental devastation worldwide," he said. "There's still time to take action, but not much.

"The assumption has been that we wouldn't see these kinds of changes until the world is a little warmer, but this suggests we're running out of time."

In May this year, another group of researchers reported signs that global warming was damaging the permafrost. Katey Walter of the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, told a meeting of the Arctic Research Consortium of the US that her team had found methane hotspots in eastern Siberia. At the hotspots, methane was bubbling to the surface of the permafrost so quickly that it was preventing the surface from freezing over.

Last month, some of the world's worst air polluters, including the US and Australia, announced a partnership to cut greenhouse gas emissions through the use of new technologies.

The deal came after Tony Blair struggled at the G8 summit to get the US president, George Bush, to commit to any concerted action on climate change and has been heavily criticized for setting no targets for reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
