Finding Courage to be an Adult
(Plant Your Dream!)

Finding Courage to be an Adult by YourEnchantedGardener .....

I am going through Radical Healing. I want to make the most of my Adult years. I am willing to allow all the good I came to do, to happen now.

"I’ve been waiting half my
life to tell somebody about
Leslie Goldman. Always figured
I’d wait for some desperate moment.
Now it’s here.

LOS ANGELES TIMES MAGAZINE
SUNDAY, MAY 31, 1992

I am in the midst of radical healing,
and you my dear CureZone Family
are bearing witness to a transformation
our world sorely needs/

I am growing up.
I am accepting the willingness
to be an adult in a
deeply hurting world
that desperately needs
you and I be grown up,
to be all we can be
regardless of the pain
we have suffered.

Dr. Bernard Jensen
believed in radical healing.

He once had a patient
who felt they had lost their soul
under a bridge as they passed
under a freeway.

He thought. He moved deeply.
He took the patient in his car.
He let the patient take him back
to that underpass.

They went under together.
Tney went to the other side.
They turned around and came back.

He knew that was the only way for
that dear patient of his to get back when
she felt she had lost.

I am here for you.
I have just gone under a bridge.
You are with me.

I am with you.
I will let you lead.

I will invite you into the vehicle.
The vehicle is your soul.

We need to take this ride together
because we will be sick our entire
lives unless we take this journey
and make the most of it.

You are speaking to a man
who has felt he came up short,
but had the courage to ask
his teammates to bend their knees
so in the picture they would be the same size.

They loved him.
They were willing to do whatever it took
for him to come back alive.

I am back alive.
I went back.
Just as you, in one way or another
may need to go back.

You way may be different,
it may entail a specific diet regimen.
It may entail cleansing of one kind or another.

It may entail enemas.
It may entail eating raw.
It may ential eating raw fish,
or not eating at all.

Whatever it takes.
You do. It is worth it.

I went back.
I went back a place
where I had lost pieces of my soul,
and now I feel a willingness
out of service to help other lost
children who may not even know they are lost.

Do you know what it is like to be a 17 year old
in this broken world?

Do you know what is it like to be graded,
to be asked to fit into boxes that have nothing
to do with getting an education?

Do you know what it is like to be a young
girl and have no parents who you can talk
to, not really, no one who can give you the kind
of hands-off coaching that you might need?

I want to create the Class of '65
Fairfax High as such a Tribe.

I have heard of Societies like the Skull and Bones,
Societies where Presidents of our nation
have joined.

I wonder what Good for this world
the Class of '65 Fairfax High could do?

We are 57, 58 now.
That is the age when people have matured
enough to give back to others.

That is the age when most of us have
already given birth to families and it is time
to give back to society.

That is the age of adulthood and maturation
when you take your skillls you have honed
as lawyers, and doctors, and real estate experts,
and do something for the world.

That is the age when you set out for the next
twenty years to make a better world than
was here when we entered.

This world despirately needs us now.
It desperately needs the Class of '65--
be it from Fairfax, or Uni, or Hamilton,
or Muskegee, or Pleasanton,
or Columbine to rise up.

I went back.
I am coming back.
I am willing to grow up
and take responsibility
for this world
for the role I can play in it.

ABOUT THE MONTAGE

The sign to the left is by Ross,
the Developer of the Miracle Mile
in Los Angeles. Many of us
in the Class of '65 grew up
in the shadows of this area.
Our High School was walking
distance of the Miracle Mile.

Ross had the Vision to See
The Wisdom to Know
The Courage to Do

The Welcome sign was at the Doggy
Bakery at the Farmers' Market where I went
after the Sunday Brunch.
A 17 year old young woman was working there.
She told me about her life and I could see
she was struggling to make the most of school.
She was being sized down.
She reminded me of my own life when I was 17.
I would like to uplift her in any way possible,
and others like her as alumni of Fairfax High.

She guided me to a site called MySpace,
where she and many others her age have Blogs
and show photos of themselves.
They rank each other. I suggest we of the class of '65
also influence that site by allowing our Class to
meet their Virtually,

I am going to set up a Group space there,
where we can share events.

I left the ReUnion saying I would
build us a web site. I will. We can link our Class to
the Myspace site.

I also want to recommend that many of you Blog,
start a site here on CureZone. There are many
areas of focus where a person can communicate
about all the issues that need to be discussed
to educate rather than medicate.

There are times when we need heroic measures
that drugs and medical procedures can give us,'
but this is only buying more time so that we can wise up.

I invite you all to keep up with my blogs here on the curezone:

All my ReUnion Stories are here:

I invite you into my life and thoughts here on a regular basis.

Much love,
Your Enchanted Gardener,
Leslie

This is where you will find the story of my 30th High School ReUnion
that begins this series about a Radical Healing surrounding my 40th ReUnion:
