The spa is a place many people go for ultimate relaxation, but they may be looking for a variety of services to create their own custom packages. If your spa only offers the basics, you could be losing out on a lot of new customers. To create a more modern and unique experience your clients will tell all their friends about, here are some new services you can offer.
1. Light Therapy
Light therapy can offer a lot of different health benefits. Red light therapy treatments in particular are becoming increasingly popular. By exposing the skin to red light, the cells often produce more energy for a variety of different effects. This type of light therapy may assist with wrinkles and different types of skin damage for a smoother, clearer complexion. Some women with hair loss noticed new growth after light therapy, and many people have experienced pain relief from a whole host of ailments. This is also a great service to attract customers who may not have gone to a spa before.
2. Refreshments From a Smoothie Bar
Spend enough time in a spa and you're bound to be up for refreshments. A lot of treatments like saunas and hot stones can leave people feeling dehydrated, so why not offer new and exciting ways to replenish lost fluids? Update your cucumber water to other infused recipes, or consider offering a smoothie bar. Fresh produce can easily elevate a spa experience, especially if it's part of a larger treatment plan.
3. Dry Brushing
Dry brushing can have many benefits, and it's a great way to prep clients for other treatments. Dry brushing is a great exfoliation method and can also improve circulation. You can even have dry brushes on hand to sell, so your customers can take some of the spa home with them.
4. Hand Massages
More and more people are working at a desk, typing away for hours at a time. This repetitive motion can cause intense wrist and hand pain that results in permanent damage if neglected. Even crafters can experience a lot of hand pain and may come to you seeking relief. Some clients may not even know how stiff their wrists and hands are until you start working on them. Plus, hand massages can be a quick, easy addition to your massage menu.
5. Hair Treatments
The closer you can get your spa to offering the full beauty package, the better. Even if a full hair salon isn't feasible, hair treatments can be the perfect cherry on top of other beauty packages. If women leave the spa with their skin feeling exfoliated and soft, why wouldn't they want their hair to feel renewed, too? Throw in some manicures and you can offer one-stop-shop beauty packages. Hair treatments don't have to be expensive or complicated, either. Try experimenting with natural ingredients and essential oils you can mix right in front of clients for a unique and relaxing experience.
6. Free Samples
Skincare can be tricky, especially since some products need to be used more than once in order for the skin to adjust. If you used new products that your client is excited about, you can offer free samples so they have a chance to use those items at home. If they like it, they just might come back to buy the full size bottles. If they don't, chances are they'll pass those samples along to someone else who may enjoy it, resulting in another customer for you. You can even make small giftbags to hand out after clients have spent the day with you.
At the end of the day, people go to the spa to be taken care of. The services you offer present an opportunity to craft unique experiences and stand out from your competition. By adding new and exciting services to your menu, you can take your spa to the next level.
