I always appreciate your eyes looking at me. thank you.
I have been missing my creativity. Taking time to write this poem and make this video is a step toward regaining it. Thanks to JenaKai Svati for creating the Spirit of the Ancients- Shamanic Soul Revival gathering. This event that inspired the poem was held June 26, 2016 at the WorldBeat Center.

You contain the Spirit of Life
That in recent years
Has eluded me.
Has my journey of life come to this?
I have lost my passion for my Soul's purpose
In taking on too much.
I want to clean things up.
I want back my appropriate intimacy with life.
I want to live again!
I don't know who to tell.
Will you hear my confession please
Healer to healer?
Your yoga,
Your movement,
Your presence in your female body,
Your flexibility,
Your profound capacity to relax
Into positions of poses
I could never enter
Inspires my words
And desire to take action.
My movement has stagnated in spider webs.
I have not been sure I could extricate myself
Thr weight has been so heavy with tendrils
And tendons
So thick that those things I love have lost meaning for me.
I am too young to be old.
I can see my way out now
In tiny progressions.
I need to forgive myself
And accept each gesture
In the direction of life
as heartfelt and underscored with
Good energy.
Witness to me oh life!
I have been alone too long
In what has appeared overwhelming.
Your movement has inspired me
to want to move things.
I want to dream again
and believe in you.

Sacred gathering WorldBeat Center Sunday June 26, 2016. JenaKai Svati and friends. Lots of shamanic healers and participants on yoga mats and in trust. A remarkable healing experience that will be on-going near monthly at the WorldBeat Cultural Center.
Many yoga practitioners attended including my friends Bea Alvarez and new FB friends.I delighted to receive healing and inspiration from so much youth and flexibility embodying soul in body.
The gathering was called Spirit of the Ancients- Shamanic Soul Revival.
Thanks to my beloved friend Makeda Dread for alerting me. She and I were the Elders in the room. I am so very inspired to see the new generation receptive to shamanic ways that are close to our hearts.
