Good Morning Day 19!
(Back to Myself - Summer 2015)

Good Morning Day 19! by exposure .....

Day 19 - heading off for the weekend

Date:   1/29/2015 7:07:07 PM ( 9 y ago)

Hello world,

Day 19 of my fast, have to say it's flown by for the most part so far, & that this is the first time I've gone this long without a mid fast meal somewhere around the 2 week mark. Well I'm off shortly on a big 4 hour drive to the share house I manage in the city where there is a free room from a girl who dropped out from taking it weds - So I'll stay there the night, then early morning be on my way another hour and a half past the airport to the Buddhist Center where I'll spend the weekend receiving some very rare, precious teachings from a wonderful Tibetan Lama.

Going to dress warm & pack an extra blanket because for some reason even tho it's January in Aus which should mean mid-summer & hot - it's dipped right down to cold Autumnal weather and doesn't look like letting up any time soon! Raining buckets where I am, well - I don't have to worry about watering the plants :) Will pack as light as I can - it's only a weekend, have to go dig out my long pants and winter clothes and find out what is going to be comfy for sitting on the floor on a meditation cushion for 2 days.

Feeling good this morning, renewed & refreshed after a good sleep & too busy with things to do to get on the road to worry about Captain Morgan & all his drama. Didn't get to do my enema series yesterday, the breakup kind of threw me off being in that space to nurture myself that way - will have to do on my return, maybe I'll bring some fruits & veg out along with my home on monday or so and make a couple juices next week. Taking lots of raw coconut water up with me for the retreat - this fast is going really well, I haven't felt too cold even with the weather, sometimes fasting can really make you chilly - I'll dress warm anyway - practically sprinted through my bushwalk the other day, so I guess I do have more fasting energy than I realized - I don't think I've ever done that track that quickly :)

Still feel I've got a long way to go - not in bad sense, it is a discipline, but I'll be into 20 days tomorrow and want to just push on to 40 and beyond, I'd like to get to 60 this time, maybe more - then follow the end fo the fast with a very slow coming off period, a good spell of just doing one small meal every other day, then one small meal every day - up to two eventually and then onto the intermittent fast diet as the end result and final transition which I'm going to make a lifestyle. I hit the big 40 this Jan & don't need & can't process the kind of food I ate when I was younger. Now I'm older my body needs less, I need to establish a good balance between my diet & physical activity & I love the idea of the 1:1 intermittent fasting lifestyle for so many reasons :) It will fell like a feast after this & seems quite easy, I've been looking back just briefly at a bit of what foods I could use those days and calorie counts & thinking ahead - it's a ways off yet but good to do a bit of research.

Well, not too much to report since yesterday, still getting the heavy fasting sleeps, long sleeps with very heady dreams, I'll be doing myself proud to keep going if the rest of summer stays like this, I tend to try and do my fasting in the hot weather when the body is most supple & the appetite is at its lowest, nothing much I can do to control the weather - wondering if we're going to get some more summer at all, maybe it's just a few weeks of a weird mid summer cold snap?? Anyway, I'm just going to keep going - like a haha streamlined now freight train :)

Best wishes to all you readers out there, talk to you when I return from retreat!
