How to Save Seeds
SeedsLearn how to save seeds from your garden on Wednesday, August 13, at 7:00 pm!

Are you curious about how to save seeds from your crop but don’t know where to start? Then join us for this presentation on how you can save seeds from your very own garden! Saving seeds is valuable knowledge that has been passed down for generations.

In this presentation we will discuss the difference between hybrid and heirloom vegetables, factors to consider when saving seeds, ways to ensure varietal purity, and how to preserve seeds for the next season.

This program is presented by Marissa Paulding. Marissa grew up on an organic farm and is an avid gardener.

This program takes place in the Meeting Room on the Lower Level of the library. If you would like to attend the program, please register at the library, by calling the library at 766-0171, or by emailing the library at simpson@cumberlandcountylibraries.org.

Hi fellow gardeners
On behalf of the Simpson Library's (Mechanicsburg) opening of their first heirloom seed catalog they are looking for knowledgeable organic/heirloom seed gardeners to give Q&A/Presentations on seeds and seed saving to the public. They are having trouble finding volunteers for this and I was wondering if you would know anyone who would be willing to help this cause.
Its a great program that aims to educate gardeners on sustainable gardening methods.
If you know of anyone please contact:
