To Bee or Not To Be? - That Is Now Our Collective Question! by Chef JeM .....

Is this the truth? - "New Harvard Study Proves Why The Bees Are All Disappearing" or is it more likely that bee keepers are: "Feeding Refined Sugar to Honey Bees"?

“If the bee disappeared off the face of the earth, man would only have four years left to live.” - Albert Einstein

"The human race is really starting to feel the consequences of their actions. One area we are waking up to is the massive amount of pesticides we spray (especially in North America) on our food that has not only been linked to human disease, but a massive die off in the global bee population within the past few years.

A new study out of Harvard University, published in the June edition of the Bulletin of Insectology puts the nail in the coffin, neonicotinoids are killing bees at an exponential rate, they are the direct cause of the phenomenon labeled as colony collapse disorder (CCD). Neonicotinoid’s are the world’s most widely used insecticides. ...":

"... if you really want to help, get some bees, talk to your local farmer, cook your own food, plants some flowers, live a 'bee friendly lifestyle'. . Instead of demanding that others change, I’m demanding that I change. ...":

"The Mystery of Bee Colony Collapse":

"...according to a new peer-reviewed paper, neonicotinoids aren't the only pesticides that might be undermining bee health. The study, ... found that a pair of widely used fungicides are showing up prominently in bee pollen—and appear to be making bees significantly more likely to succumb to a fungal pathogen, called Nosema ceranae, that has been closely linked to CCD.":

"Feeding Refined Sugar to Honey Bees" -

"The main reason beekeepers do this supplemental feeding is a matter of simple economics. ... HFCS is claimed to be toxic to honey bees. We are also learning it isn’t good for humans either."
