What's Being Read:
First, the Bible is THE BOOK.
BTW: this has been one of the best selling books for over 200 years in the US and Western world! It is a book which almost everyone in the world has heard of or seen at some time! This can not be said about any other book!
- It is God's inerrant communication of propositional truth to mankind and solely authoritative. Combined with the sovereign illuminating work of God the Holy Spirit, absolute truth is exclusively infused into the mind of born-again Christian believers. No other religion or philosophy can successfully make this epistemological claim.
1 Corinthians Chapter 2.
- We view books as treasures of secondary knowledge, to be read and read again. The first time through is often not as rewarding as when the 'light bulb' goes on and we return to get a fuller understanding of what the author was seeking to communicate. We encourage believers to enrich and exercise their minds. We purchase many books online, and used when possible.
