Got Life Forces In Food?
(Chef Jemichel ~ The Chef-Doctor)
"The food we eat may not be providing us with the nutrients we need"

September 27, 2013 -
The nutrients are the most obvious elements of what is missing in most foods nowadays. There is more to this situation which Rudolf Steiner identified in his agricultural lectures 90 years ago![1]
I'm in the process now of getting a truck load of cow manure for our raised beds, fruit trees and the next compost pile I will be building (in the next couple weeks). I'm harvesting the current pile that was my best pile to date! I can hardly tell you how fulfilling it is for me to have a compost pile go through it's complete process and then disperse that "black gold" to the trees and plants! I should create a symphonic ballet with choir to give it full justice!

November 8, 2017 - So glad I searched and found this particular post as it matches the feeling in the note I wish to make now. The "fulfilling" experiences hat I have had as described in the last sentence of the preceding paragraph has returned to my awareness with such strength that it motivated me to taking steps toward a new arrangement where I can increase my compost production and essentially devote all of the "black gold" to new tree culture! What has increased my excitement about this today is that last night I discovered a friend of mine also wishes to engage in tree culture and when I inquired as to whether that would include compost for the starters he affirmed it most definitely! We agreed we have a conversation waiting to be had about this for us that I trust will be in the near future.
All of this inspired me to check my archived messages as to when I started "taking steps" and I just unearthed the email dated September 8th of this year where I inquired with another friend about land that I thought would be most ideal for developing a tree nursery. So that was exactly two months ago today!

June 22, 2017 - A Question of Nourishment -
Thomas Meyer: There is a conversation between Steiner and Ehren- fried Pfeiffer, who was working in America pioneering biodynamic work in this country. Pfeiffer once asked Steiner, “Why are people so weak in their will? You gave all these spiritual exercises. Where are the clairvoyants? Why don’t people do these things?”
Steiner said to him, “It’s a question of nourishment. The food of today doesn’t give enough etheric or life forces so that you can not use your spiritual forces to act on things.” That is, of course, a one-sided answer. I don’t want to dogmatize it, but it shows how important healthy nourishment is.
Catherine Austin Fitts: It’s true. We haven’t published it yet, but we have a great interview with Francois Vecchio, who is a fabulous Swiss butcher who now works in the United States. One of the things that he said during the interview was that Europeans, on average, spend double what Americans spend every year on food, but Americans spend double every year on medical care what Europeans spend.
I’m reminded – because I’ve been in Europe for a week now – the quality of food is fantastic compared to the United States. It’s astonishing. To me, it’s that nourishment.[2]
