Truth part 5
(My Quest for the Truth of Life, by Kerminator!)
** This is part of a funeral message showing the Great power of Compassion and Love! **
Date: 8/31/2013 12:12:08 PM ( 11 y ago)
Recently after the death of My wife's older sister Ina; that very night -
{ FYI I seldom to never remember any dreams or have any vivid dreams}
I had a vision while sleeping: at first there appeared to be a white fog or as if walking in a cloud, then there appeared a figure of a man who glowed the most pure white light I have ever seen... An angel or Jesus I know not! Then not by audible words, but rather by thought patterns I under stood two words: " Peace and Joy!" ... Then he was gone! I said nothing about it the next day, as I pondered it's meaning!
Then the next night I thought of how people; like Ina, who all her life was retarded, limited and cripple... She never had a normal life; never finished any formal schooling, never got married, or had children... She lived a very shallow simple life where she existed much as a person to be avoided! In death she has escaped the prison of her damaged body to live in " Peace and Joy!"
My wife had often ask why does God allow people to exist in that condition? It came to me; one of the purposes of such people is to draw us into a state of compassion or Love, as Jesus did upon the earth! These type less normal people are to allow us to show compassion and to serve as best we can. {I must admit that I have not been as compassionate a person as I could!}
Here is where I came to see the real meaning and need for true compassion in this life! Using the example of Jesus, The Son of God and only perfect person to ever live upon this earth; I became aware of how compassion is to be used!
** Next to the greatest of God's power that ever existed upon this earth; which is the actual Resurrection of Jesus - Yeshua - ** Is Compassion.
This the best example ever recorded!
Luke 10:25 - 37
The Parable of the Good Samaritan:
25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”
29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 In reply Jesus said:
“A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead.
31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.
32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.
34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.
35 The next day he took out two denarii[a denarius was the usual daily wage of a day laborer (see Matt. 20:2) and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
** Then the conclusion or summary of True Compassion!
36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy {compassion} on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise!”
** Amen, there is the best conclusion!
More Examples :
Matt 9:36
When Jesus saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Matt 14:14
When Jesus got out of the boat, he saw a large crowd. He had compassion for them and healed their sick.
Matt 18:33
Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy & pity upon you?
Hebrews 5:2
He {The High Priest who is appointed for men in all things pertaining to God} can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are going astray; since he himself also is also subject to weakness. {or compassed with infirmity.}
1 Peter 3:8
Finally, all of you should be harmonious, sympathetic; compassionate to suffer with those who are suffering, loving one another, be merciful and humble.
***
True Compassion is based upon those whom God directs;
We should always be aware of those whom God has placed upon our pathway of life!
As follows:
-"But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind."
Luke 14:13
-"Cornelius stared at him in fear. What is it, Lord?' he asked. The angel answered, Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.'" Acts 10:4
-"On the contrary: If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.'" Romans 12:20
-"Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need." 1 Timothy 5:3
-"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27
-"If anyone has many material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:17-18
** The key is to use compassion to kill self envy and pride! Pride is the enemy of humility and this will keep you from expressing Compassion or the Agape Love of God!
Pride and self centeredness is the down fall of mankind!
