Dr. Bernard Jensen, Iridology workshop at Hidden Valley Health Ranch, with Ellen Tart Jensen, who became his daughter-in-Law years later. She married his son Art Jensen. Ellen Tart Jensen PhD is doing an outstanding job carrying forward Dr. Bernard Jensen's Iridology legacy. "Keeping the Dream Alive!" is the name of one of my Dr. Bernard Jensen writing projects. My own work was deeply informed by his nature teachings and concerns that people have Pure, Whole, and Natural Food. Natural for him meant Organically grown by natural laws.

I am going through some Dr. Bernard Jensen archives the last hour. The stimulus for the search was to find a photo that Ellen Tart Jensen mentioned when she introduced me yesterday morning during her opening session of a five day Iridology Workshop at the Town and Country Convention Center in San DIego.
I highly recommend this workshop that Ellen Teaches once a year in San Diego. There are travelers from as far away as Nigeria via Jamaica who have come to be part of this very special learning opportunity.
I am hopeful I will find the photo I am looking for. I will likely find it after my spirit--or the spirit of Dr. Bernard Jensen (1908-2001) shows me various other photos and bits of information that I need to see now.
Dr. Bernard Jensen touched the lives of more than 350,000 patients he would say during his years of practice. Iridology and nutrition, working together, were two of his most important tools.
He was a master of Nature Studies and called himself a Nature Boy. Ellen went on to take the Iridology work to new heights. She mentioned in her opening session that the internet has helped with refinement of the evolving Iridology chart. There is more direct communication between iridologists around the world who are part of the International organization she helped found.
Ellen has done a tremendous job carrying forward iridology.
The first time I attended one of Dr. Bernard Jensen's workshops at the old Hidden Valley Health Ranch, I was right out of college. The year was around 1976.
I remember walking down a trail between the cabins and the barn where he would teach his summer classes.
I remember daydreaming into the future and imagining how the world would come to know this marvelous way of seeing into the body and whole being. What I was hearing was so very distant from the kind of medical procedures that open the body to gather bits and pieces to see what is going on. Many ancient cultures from various parts of the world all came upon this very humane system of analysis of the internal conditions.

I had the opportunity to learn Iridology many times. I sat through many workshops, however, I never was drawn deeply into perfecting my knowledge of this skills that were offered. I was more interested and drawn to the teachings about nature. My own work was deeply touched and influenced by much of what Dr. Bernard Jensens knew and taught.
