We are participating in a Food Experiment today. This was one of the basic premises of the people's initiative called Prop 37 that aimed to give the Right to Know what was in our food through labeling GMO's.
The California Yes on 37 Campaign literature said, "Today, in the United States, by the simple act of feeding ourselves we unknowingly participate in the largest experiment even conducted on human beings." The move to Label it will not be halted. It goes forward in many places, in states and nationally.
Dr. Harvey W. Wiley MD, the man who many called the Father of the FDA, set out in 1902 to test poisons he thought were in our food supply thought bringing together volunteers and knowingly feeding them poisons. These poisons were used to to make foods more commercially possible through adding preservatives, and other adulterants. He went on to inspire the passage of a Pure Food and Drug Law in 1906 that basically outlawed the junk food we have today, however, special interests, out for commercial gain, blocked the enforcement of his law.
Today, i believe we are eating poisons and processed foods that create toxic conditions in the body.
The difference between Dr Willey's experiments and the experiment going on today is that no one asked us if we wanted to be on a "Poison Squad," the name given to Dr Wiley's experimental group.
