GETTING MY MIND BACK
Massive and profound download of
Summer information this morning.
I would have done better getting up
and writing things down before the
world woke up.
Two interrupting calls just now.
I would have been better not taking them.

YESTERDAY

New friend, Kerry Echo, really helped me.
She came into my office and bedroom and spend
about two solid hours or more with a bloom and dust pan.
We pulled all the things off the floor and into the living room.
Before, she left around 5 pm, she helped me move stuff
to the backporch.
This is a Victory to have the floors empty in the office
and the thick dusk, layers, removed. Massive dust.
I have been on call for more than six months addressing
major crisis in the world, and giving massive amounts of time
to the 2010 Cultivating Food Justice Conference.
TRY IT
I cannot tell you how healing it is to at least having a fighting
chance to get organized at this level of mind.
I can see my notebooks at least.
I have a chance to possible throw out stuff
and weed through the old now.
There is still stuff on the bed.
Try it: organize your life at the level where you regain control
of your space.
LAST NIGHT:
A TALE OF TWO COMMUNITIES
Kale Walker, a dear friend, and occasional gardener here,
had invited me up to Cucama's home in Encinitas.
Magpie, her husband, died a few years ago. They have
a strong community at the house.
It was an eye opener.
The house there has a House Mother.
Amazing.
Cucama spends time cleaning the house,
caring for the garden, doing art, and tending
the spaces for the other renters.
She also spends about three hours a day,
from 4:30 am on in devotional practices.
She meditates an hour at a nearby church.
Her rents are around $800.00
She raises rents when people move out.
The garden was lovely.

Feelings:
Lots of hopelessness last night.
Feeling no ground under my feet.
It was a big effort to leave home,
so tired to go up to Encinitas,
about 30 miles away.
It turned into a magical very supportive trip
of healing.
Two of my rocks were there, and more.
Mariah and Morea both came.
They help me with the Pacific Symposium each year
with the set up.
Morea is one of my closest ongoing female allies.
They both work together now at the Hillcrest FM
doing very important healing work.
I have known Mariah since he was a little boy.
He mother Toby was also there.
She is a minister, and a clown.
Quite a combo, heh?
READING FROM
THE REBIRTH OF MOTHER EARTH
There wasn't much focus at the Solstice Celebration.
I took the direction and called a gathering.
Different people read from
"The Rebirth of Mother Earth" book.
It is very special.
I was feeling into having a more simple life
where I just harvested some of my things,
such as this book.
