Day 1/2 or 1/4? I had to eat at work tonight guys by ren .....

holy week fast bump in the road

Date:   3/30/2010 12:27:02 AM ( 14 y ago)

I finished off my jar of juice, smoothie and by the time 2230 rolled around my sugar was in the toilet and plus I got swamped with orders. I'm not totally disappointed but I'm a little bummed out because I almost made it through the day without eating. It's just because of my job being overwhelming and burning through more of my energy/sugar that I anticipated that I broke my fast. Broke it with a fig newton, two graham crackers, peanut butter and five triscuits. Not terrible but whatever!

Today was truly overwhelming. I guess I ought to be happy that I got to have some wonderful juice and green smoothies. Right now I'm a little dispirited. I walked out of work at 1am in the morning. Tomorrow I'll bring two jars of smoothie and a jar of juice, I mean quart jars. Even if I have leftovers, I can drink the leftovers in the morning.
I was able to pray a Divine Mercy chaplet and go to the gym and workout. I feel good. I felt refreshed by the workout.

I think I'm not going to make any big grand plans for any water fast, etc. I'm just going to dust myself off and go back to green smoothies and juice except I'm going to be putting honey in my coffee and making sweet green smoothie with more bananas and raisins and flaxseeds. That worked the first time around and that green smoothie fast was pure heaven. I don't ever remember fasting being this bad. I don't think it was temptation but just something purely physical. YESTERDAY, I had the temptation but didn't yield.

Time to go and see if I can sleep. Probably not. I'll be in bed at 2am for sure!
