Before the "United States" had actually come into existence as a central federal government, there were the united states of America. Those originally were thirteen independent (AKA sovereign) states! Simply speaking, these "states" were self-governing. These states all rejected the external and foreign government (if the British Crown) and for good cause: that government became extremely oppressive to the people! (Read the Declaration of Independence)

Later when the Constitution was written it was "written in this manner: 'The Constitution for the united states of America'."

The Declaration of Independence contains "guiding principles; truths that would be self-evident to any sane, reasonable, thinking person and that therefore would not need to be argued over or explained."

" We hold these truths to be self-evident,
that all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,
That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

Also consider state constitutions i.e. The Republic of Texas:
"... the people of Texas ... have at all times the inalienable right to alter, reform or abolish their government in such manner as they may think expedient."
(Article One, Section Two)
They can do that as long as they preserve "a republican form of government".

Since we have the Right to alter/abolish then (in the most simple of terms) we have the Right to "change"! However, "change" doesn't necessarily require "new Government" or a new "form of government". Change can include reforming and/or re-limiting the existent government and especially as per Fundamental Law. In other words government acts unlawfully by not obeying the Constitution. It either has exceeded it's lawful limits or not fulfilled it's Lawful mandate. The excesses need to be re-limited by reinforcing the limits. The unfulfilled obligations need responses that compel performance.

"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed."

Before "abolishing the forms" we can ask whether "altering" is not more appropriate. However, it can be argued that the government has already been altered. If that's true then how about un-altering what has been altered?

The objective to consider is the restoration of the most Lawful government that is completely confined within Constitutional limitations. The key in all restoration (in this context) is returning to the original and reaffirming the soundness of that while "we hold these truths to be self-evident"! The form of government itself has a Fundamental Lawful purpose" the protection of our Natural Born, Inalienable Rights! Restoring that most Fundamental Lawful purpose requires that we know and/or rediscover the original intent for that form. The Declaration of Independence is the first of several founding documents that are essential for us to know. Remember "hold that line"? Here it's a matter of "hold these truths"! It was in "holding these truths" that the subsequent form of government came into existence! Keep "holding these truths" in any and all restoration's of the form.

Now how do we "hold these truths"?
Firstly we need to Know These Truths!

These truths include all of our individual inalienable Rights.
The form of government the Founding Fathers created was the one that could protect the Rights of the individual.
The one form of government known at that time that could protect those Rights was the constitutional republican form.

This form of government requires all state and federal government officials to take an oath of office to abide by the Constitution:
"The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution". (Art. VI)
That means all state and federal government officials are obligated to protect out individual Rights. If the legislators are writing legislation that turns a Right into an illegal act then they are violating their oath of office and deserve to be corrected. We have a Right to live. We have a right to nourish ourselves and our children with real food from local family owned farms where the animals are cared for and allowed to fed on a natural diet. We have a Right to the nourishing gifts these animals offer us like real whole milk that is un-homogenized, un-pasteurized, etc.! Legislation that makes the selling of this food a crime is a violation of the oath to protect every individual's right to that food!

The Constitution requires that the United States guarantee a "Republican Form of Government" to every state. (Art. IV Section IV) That means that every single state all across America is guaranteed to have state governments that protect the individual rights of you and all your family members!

Keep in mind that the very fertile soil for this form of government began with: "We hold these truths".
The "renewed" form begins now when "We hold these truths"
