My friend Leslie Goldman had first introduced me to Hani Ilaian several months ago and very recently Leslie encouraged me to call Hani regarding the chicken feed that is used for the very delicious chickens that Hani sells in his MidEast Market in San Diego.
I spoke with Hani a few days ago. Hani makes it very easy to develop a friendship relationship with him! That quality of connection makes doing business a real pleasure! In fact it is my preference to have a direct and personal connection before doing business with someone! When a truly friendly relationship can be developed within a business context I feel attracted to supporting the business in extraordinary ways!
As a former Chapter Leader with WAPF, referring people to local sources of exceptional quality foods is a natural function that I enjoy!
Hani invited me to see the ranch where the chickens, cows, sheep, lambs and even goats enjoy their portion of 300 acres. I'm really looking forward to taking the ride out to that ranch with a friend who also is a member of the Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF) (as well as Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation and Slow Foods San Diego). Once I see the ranch I anticipate that it'll become my number one recommendation for local grown, grass-fed, humanely treated animal products!
Today I asked Hani if my friend and I could actually come onto the ranch for a tour. I found Hani to be exceptionally gracious and very willing to accommodate my request! It made my day! I am looking forward to Hani's follow-up call as to the day that we can all go up to the ranch! Yes, Hani himself will give us a tour! I couldn't imagine it better! If you ever have contact with Hani you might understand how honored I can feel to have the gift of Hani's presence guiding us on the ranch tour! IMO, this is beyond a Disneyland tour even with "The Mouse" himself!

Wrote the following to my German New Medicine doctor friend:
",,, I am so fortunate in many ways and one of them is with the wonderful food I have access to! I recently have started introducing myself to the owner of a local "MidEast" market who carries a selection of local grass-fed meats that I have been enjoying a lot over the last couple months. The chicken is most delicious and unlike any other chicken I've ever had. They are out in the pasture all day long and then come into an enclosed area with a coop at night where they get a supplement feed just of rolled barley! The barley is scattered out on the ground and some of it sprouts up which the chickens eat as well! I happy about this most natural diet for the animals and really appreciate that they are not heavily supplemented with grains and especially No Soy! I am really enjoy having chicken once a week!
Another item I'm impressed with is the liver and lately I have been eating it raw! I mix raw onion and lemon juice and put it on top of my steamed greens with lots of butter. very delicious! I also make a lot of bone broths. If we were living in the same community I would keep you well stocked with bone broth brother as I make more than I can use! Most excellent Bone Medicine from grass fed animals! And the raw grass-fed butter I import makes all the meat items extra special! Most delicious and nutritious!
I am well fed! Have virtually no cravings or at least a heck of a lot less craving s than I have had most all my life prior to having the grass-fed animal products. I believe it is largely due to the high quality animal fats! I have found them to be the most satisfying foods! That's part of why I am all for your including raw dairy as a significant part of your diet. ..."
Thank You Hani!
And Thank You Leslie![1]
