One way to help depression is to have empathy for others and do something about it. It don't take money, it don't take fame... but helping make someone's day become brighter is the best way I know how to drive the blues away...
Helping others is soul food.

People are also biological machines. There are other ways like drinking several glasses of distilled water each day. helps flush toxins that cause the body chemistry to change. A nearly free way to help depression. Just as giving a car battery distilled water can help, it is only part of a long term solution.

Certain acids added to a car battery can restore it back to a healthy state. Apple cider vinegar has many of the restorative enzymes that make a bodies battery work effectively. "An apple a day will keep the doctor begging for his bread." An tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in juice or water 2 or 3 times a day could get one's water/acid levels back to where they should be and give the body a chance to heal itself.

Misplaced anger is like a short in your human battery that may lead to a lethargic or inefficient life. We are all human batteries. If anger leads to you doing something then it has done its job but if it does not then anger may lead to a cycle of anger and depression. Depression is brought on as chemical response to misplaced energy. If you are just stewing in your anger and do not have and effective strategy other than depression to relieve the stress that comes from anger then make a mental not to not grind your teeth. Grinding your teeth is a good sign that you are having ineffective anger.

Don't grind your teeth. Drop your jaw and relax it when you feel anger that is not leading you to doing something about it. This will give your mind and body a cue that you have ineffective stress release strategies. The human battery want the body to act when anger comes up but grinding your teeth and stewing in that anger is not effective and may lead to depression.

Depression is often the next step in the electrical-chemical response to events occurring in your life you feel you have no control over. Depression is physical and spiritual signal that you need to slow you down and contemplate your next move. Accidents are usually caused by several cues we miss during our daily lives and depression is our body-mind-spirit asking us to examine those missed cues and form a new plan to make corrections. To fix the electrical-chemical response of the body-mind-spirit we will need to make changes in areas of our life that we have not considered before. That change is so very different from one batch of electrical-chemical to the next... but if we do not make the correction... our health may deteriorate and become seriously depressed. Look inside to find what needs to be changed instead of outside.

If we continue to have negative internal response to exterior events then we may always be in a loop of anger and depression. Fixing our inside first will help what matters. We may not be able to control outside event but we can do something about us. Don't keep going in the loop of anger and depression. Do forgive yourself and others and allow your electrical chemical human battery to heal by giving it a healthy mental and spiritual balance. Change is most likely going to be the solution to anger and or depression but if one does not address the internal spirits and soul then the loop of depression and anger may continue even if you are putting the right kinds of food and water into the body. The whole world without the soul is not much of a gain. Whatever change you do to address your anger or depression, make sure it is something the soul will go along with.

Anger and depression are signals to as our body-mind-spirit to make change. To balance out the electrical-chemical human battery we may need to make changes that are not comfortable but none the less critical if we are to remain healthy.
