7:00 am - 7:55 am Bill Helm - Shen Gong Qi Gong
1 CEU/PDA
General Credit
It is believed that regular practice of qi gong helps cleanse the body of toxins, restores energy, reduces stress and anxiety, and helps individuals maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Attendees will be taught qi gong to develop an awareness of qi sensations (energy) in their body and use their mind to guide the qi. As each practitioner achieves a sufficient skill level, they can direct or emit external qi for the purpose of healing others. This course will enable practitioners to pass along these techniques to their patients so that they are capable of taking a more active role in their own healthcare, especially for disease prevention.

Sexuality and Happiness Practices in OM, Part 1

1 CEU/PDA

Ours is one of the few medical systems in world history to incorporate "joy" as an imperative for healthy living and "lack of joy" as both a symptom and treatable condition. In this presentation Dr Dunas will introduce the qualities and complex elemental make up of this elusive emotional state. She will also examine differing aspects of the soul, as defined by OM, and their roles in the cultivation of joy and its offshoot, wisdom. She will also touch on the relationship between joy and gender.

(ROGER is AN ENCHANTED GARDEN ALLY)

9:55 am - 10:45 am Roger Jahnke - Mind-Body Energetics: Rediscovering the Wellness Foundation of Chinese Medicine
1 CEU/PDA Chinese holistic medicine is a key force at the root of a radical transformation in Western allopathic medicine. The inherent wellness foundation of Chinese medicine is at least as compelling as the disease treating aspects. Oddly - maybe even tragically - it appears that Western practitioners are more interested in Chinese wellness than practitioners of Chinese medicine. Has the Chinese medicine community surrendered an ace in the politics of health care and medicine by neglecting to take the lead in wellness based clinical practice?
11:10 am - 12 noon Wellness Panel Discussion

A traditional Chinese medicine tenet teaches that good health is a result of a free flowing, well-balanced energy system. It is believed that regular practice of Qi Gong helps cleanse the body of toxins, restores energy, reduces stress and anxiety, and helps individuals maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. This course will enable practitioners to pass along these techniques to their patients, which will be capable of taking a more active role in their own healthcare, especially for disease prevention and wellness.

2:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Roger Jahnke - The Qi Empowered Patient: Chinese Mind Body Energetics in the Integrative Medical Setting
3 CEUs/PDAs What can doctors and practitioners of Chinese medicine do to play directly in the clinical energetics of wellness? There are many ways and methods and they are all easy. While doing the focused work of clinical practice, practitioners can adjust mind focus (Xin - HeartMind), adjust breath, adjust language, direct Qi and intent (Yi) and actually teach Qigong while patients are in consultation and treatment. It takes little training and no added time Ñ clinical energetics is more of a Qi and intent discipline -- secretly weaving the mystical with the practical. And, why not teach Qigong classes?? If you donÕt do it, the Western practitioners will.
