Whole Foods & Health Reform
(Plant Your Dream!)
Whole Foods and Health Reform. The Truth from a Plant's Point of View.

KEEP The BEET Media Star,
The World's Talking BEET Plant
has me up this early morning.
She is filling my head with all kinds of reminders
about the connection
between WHOLE FOODS & HEALTH REFORM.
Most people today are more prone to listen
to the Voice of Science then then are prone
to listen to the Voice of Nature.
Most Nations today are more regulated
and becoming more regulated law by law
by international agreements--Rules and
Regs that have more to do with what is good
for International Trade and International Business
then they are based on understanding
the Laws of Nature.
The Laws of Nature are the Laws of True Health.
True Health brings true Wealth.
Most of us, both individuals and nations
are way off course.
We have lost the beat. Most of us live far away
from the beat. We no longer recognize that
sustainable relationship precedes
a sustainable world.
It is easy to imagine that Trade makes the
world go round, that a sound economy is based
on doing what it takes to play the game of
Monopoly better than the next guy, or nation.
Actually, in the world according to KEEP The BEET,
from a plant's point of view, The Greatest Resource
is a Fullly Alive Human Being. From a plant's perspective,
we already have a perfect technology made and approved
by a Divine Imprint, but in our fragmented way of
thinking and doing, we will go to the ends of the earth
to break things down into the tiniest of pieces so we
can reinvent, recombine, and patient for money what
we then call our very out intellectual property.
This is a great way for lawyers to make a living,
and a great way for individuals to break the laws,
the same laws that some of us call The Ten Commandments.
Human Beings are intended to be happy.
They are intended to take care of one another.
THey are intended to Love one another and
be Good Neighbors.
This is actual one of our Laws that go way back
to Sinai.
There has been a lot of hubba hubba in the news
about WHOLE FOODS Co FOUNDER JOHN MACKEY.
Mackey put his foot in his mouth when he said that
he thought that the chain of stores where he makes his
bucks--WHOLE FOODS MARKET--
had a better idea for Health Reform than
Obamacare. Most of us never read the WHOLE Mackey article
before we started to protest.
Mackey's bottomline for Health Care is clear.
Even though, as Mackey says, Health Care was never
intended to be a Constitution Right, I have to say that
Healthy Food--Whole Foods--were intended to be
an unspoken right that goes with the territory of being
fully alive on Planet Earth.
There is an inherent Wheel of Health that follows
those who have loving relationships and take time
to enjoy the blessings of eating Whole Foods.
WHOLE, PURE, NATURAL
Let me me more precise, and define my terms.
There is a lot of talk today about Organic. There
is a lot of talk about what is truly sustainable.
Those who studied the long lived peoples of the earth--
when we still had them--realized that they lived
on whole Food diets, and had whole ways of living
in good relationship with neighbors and themselves.
These were people who stayed young because they
worked the garden. Their standard of Whole Food
was inseparable from what was pure, and natural.
By "natural," they meant approved by Mother Earth
and approved by the DIvine Imprint in Mother Earth.
These beings were whole in nature. They laughed.
They played. They drummed. They sang. Some
were never sick a day in their life because they
lived inseparable from Whole Foods. Many lived to a ripe old age
and married again when they were more than 100 years
old. These people never heard the word "organic."
All food, until we got our hands on it the last 100 years
or so, was real food, and it was Whole Food.
There is something in Whole Foods that upholds
a pattern of Whole Being in people and their Joy of Living.
What these long lived people had goes beyond
science, factory living and factory farming.
Their Food Safety was based on knowing who grew
their food. They grew their own, and their neighbors
grew the rest of the food they did not grow. Today
our neighbors are our local, organic farmers, and
the health of each of us depends on our remaining
small farmers waking
up each morning and joyfully saying,
"Happiness is Organic!" because you and I are
fully supporting them. A farmer does not have
to be certified in my book to grow healthy food.
They simply need to love people.
Supporting your local farmer
and growing some of your own food,
is the model of Food Safety that is now returning
to America. Some bankrupt people
are in fear. They think this will have a bad effect
on their bottlomline. In truth, our bottomline
can only get better.
NATION OF GARDENERS
We are intended to be again a Nation of Gardeners.
Whole Being goes with Whole Foods,
and Whole Foods go with Whole Being.
Whole Being goes with being THE ULTIMATE GARDENER.
It is time for a Radical moment of Awakening.
There are things we all need to know now
as we each return to growing some of our food,
not only for survival reasons, but because true wealth
comes from the soil, and the soul cannot be separated
from the earth. The Earth and the Soul are soilmates.
Mackey as well as MICHAEL POLLEN make some good points
in their recent articles in the WALL STREET JOURNAL (August 11)
and for Pollen
in the NEW YORK TIMES .
Mackey in THE WHOLE FOODS ALTERNATIVE TO OBAMACARE wrote in his bottomlines:
Recent scientific and medical evidence shows that a diet consisting of foods that are plant-based, nutrient dense and low-fat will help prevent and often reverse most degenerative diseases that kill us and are expensive to treat. We should be able to live largely disease-free lives until we are well into our 90s and even past 100 years of age.
Health-care reform is very important. Whatever reforms are enacted it is essential that they be financially responsible, and that we have the freedom to choose doctors and the health-care services that best suit our own unique set of lifestyle choices. We are all responsible for our own lives and our own health. We should take that responsibility very seriously and use our freedom to make wise lifestyle choices that will protect our health.
I, and Keep the Beet agree to about 99% of this. Fats may be good
for health, if unsaturated and Whole, pure, and natural.
POLLEN in BIG FOOD VS. BIG INSURANCE wrote:
When health insurers can no longer evade much of the cost of treating the collateral damage of the American diet, the movement to reform the food system — everything from farm policy to food marketing and school lunches — will acquire a powerful and wealthy ally, something it hasn’t really ever had before.
POLLEN CONTINUES
about the FOODSHED
Recently a team of designers from M.I.T. and Columbia was asked by the foundation of the insurer UnitedHealthcare to develop an innovative systems approach to tackling childhood obesity in America. Their conclusion surprised the designers as much as their sponsor: they determined that promoting the concept of a “foodshed” — a diversified, regional food economy — could be the key to improving the American diet.
All of which suggests that passing a health care reform bill, no matter how ambitious, is only the first step in solving our health care crisis. To keep from bankrupting ourselves, we will then have to get to work on improving our health — which means going to work on the American way of eating.
But even if we get a health care bill that does little more than require insurers to cover everyone on the same basis, it could put us on that course.
For it will force the industry, and the government, to take a good hard look at the elephant in the room and galvanize a movement to slim it down.
CONCLUSION
Thomas Alva Edison, one of America's greatest inventors, took
a lot of interest in health.
Challen W. Waychoff II, N.D. in
TOMORROW HAS ARRIVED
wrote:
Thomas Edison said that the doctor of tomorrow would be a doctor that would understand that diet is the best medicine. According to Webster’s New Reference Library Dictionary, medicine is defined as “the science of diagnosing, treating, or preventing disease”.
Most of us have never heard today of "N.D." That stands for Naturopath,
and few insurance companies today will pay for that. That too needs
to change.
Waychoff continues:
A Traditional Naturopath believes that the body has the ability to heal itself if you provide the body the proper diet, clean air, clean water, rest, exercise and so forth. A Traditional Naturopath does not treat an illness or a disease he/she merely teaches the laws of nature. The more of these laws that one follows, the healthier the individual will become and the less health problems one will have in their life.
Dr. Bernard Jensen, a naturopath, licensed as a chiroprator, never
did physical adjustments on the body. He was primarily a teacher.
He taught more than 350,000 patients the
connection between Whole Foods--whole,
pure, and natural. His standard for health
was fresh, local, and organic or better.
Waychoff says that we have reached the time for the Doctor of
Tomorrow to arrive now.
From a plant's point of view, that day we needed the doctor of tomorrow
was yesterday. Get your beat back. There is only one "beet," and now
is the time to grow it.
