Never before in our History
has there been a more pressing need
for the RETURN of The "BEET."

THe BEAT of Nature.
We have near lost It!
Plant a Beet! It is near impossible
to kill it! It will teach how to hear
the beat we are losing.

Billions of acres of land
are now growing seeds
that are intended to be terminated
after a single season of growth.

We are growing longer growing
our lives by natural rules,
or natural principles.

Mel, go with these words, please.
Sorry for causing you extra work.

YAPO

I met Yapo at the Roots meeting.
I was just looking at his website and plan to be in touch with him.
Phil is one of the farmers I work with. I pass his farm on the way up
to Idyllwild. On the way home, if you take the Aquanga route, you may want
to stop at his farm. Phil has a knack for finding land with water, and is entering
alliances with various others for projects.

PHOTO OF PHIL and his FOOD and MARKETS,
HE has a CSA

I will be able to support the food at the WBW with photos of Phil.
I will be making my focus bringing the energy of the weekend home
to our food projects. I would like to see Victory Garden flyers, Roots flyers
up there and promote the upcoming La Milpa fundraisers.

I hope you come up and play a role in promoting the Roots projects.
as well as enjoying your first workshop. If you show up to the Shabbat,
I will give you a shout. This can be a great weekend of renewal for you.
You deserve a lot for all your service up there over the years.

Mel,

RE DANCE JAM
Take a look at the hours.
Can it start earlier in the winter months when it gets dark earlier?
Would that help?

I like the video very much and image of the woman with various messages to the left.

WBW

Mike got the EG Mobile out of the shop, so that is no longer an issue for me
RE; WBW. I still have a personal health concern I will take up with Andy.
I need to be near a bathroom.

REVIVING THE WBW

I really feel we need to integrate the sustainability projects we both love with the weekend.
Wheh WBW was aligned with SDSU, there was a fresh crop of youth constantly coming in
through their I-house, etc.

The local food groups would benefit from being at the WBW.
We need to find a way. There is a pressing need to get the community
formed now and for a SD council.

The message of Victory Gardens, roots, etc.
needs to be a vibrant message at the WBW.

That;s my take.

Leslie
