Getting "EarthSmart" about Styrofoam
(Plant Your Dream!)

Getting "EarthSmart" about Styrofoam by YourEnchantedGardener .....

Getting 'EARTHSMART.' It's time to launch the campaign to End Sytrofoam use. I will be keeping you posted. My first goal will be to make inroads at the HILLCREST FARMERS' MARKET, one of our largest and most loved Sunday shopping spots in San Diego.

CONNIE HEIBERT uses styrofoam disposable ware.
She and DAVE, her husband, want to get EARTHSMART
disposable ware made of sugar cane.
Dave is a former fisherman. A lot of styrofoam ends
in in our oceans and pollutes. That's an Earth Smart
product in the foreground.

I asked Connie to put the delicious Salmon burger I ate
in an EarthSmart product.

JP ALFRED,

shows me sizes he uses.
I am going to introduce him to
EARTHSMART soon.

MARKET SAN DIEGO

One of the easiest practices we can do
to clean up our oceans is substitute
sustainable disposable dinner ware
for Styrofoam.

Styrofoam has been described as
as damaging to the ocean as a keg
of dynamite. An amazing amount of the
styrofoam we use ends up in the ocean.
It breaks done into small pieces called
nurdles. The ocean life eat the nurdles.
Some die. The styrofoam also collects
toxins. Sometimes, first eat the nurdles.
Then, we eat the toxin laden fish.

Last Sunday I began introducing
The EARTHSMART disposable ware as
a substitute for styrofoam.

DAVE HEIBERT and wife CONNIE serve up
some really delicious salmon burgers.
They will be the first to get 'EARTH SMART."

ANTHONY RUSSO, Sustainability Expert,
is bringing down an assortment of the
various sizes when I see him tomorrow.

I have already started to grow
KEEP the BEET in an eight inch pot size.
The pots, after they are used for food,
can be used as growing pots.

After a few three months or so,
the pots disintegrate. They can
be placed in the ground or in larger
pots.
