MARC WOLLMAN was introducing the next evolution
of reuseable stainless steel water bottles at the Perf Go Green Expo Los Angeles. One of new bottles, called the The Ech2o Filtered Water Bottle,
aims to take out 99% of the chemicals in Tap water.
"Tap water on the go," says Marc. The water bottle
is one of the products of an eco minded company
in Manhattan Beach that is helping remove throwable
plastic water bottles of the waste stream.
I had my eye on one of the bottles he had
that had the name of the Expo. I wanted it as
a momento of the three-day event.
I liked this reusable bottle and asked
for one to be put aside.
On the final hour of the show, I stopped at the
booth. Mark had sold most of the bottles. There
were a couple left. He gave me one as a gift.

The second bottle that caught my interest
was a new invention of the company.

JOEY MENDELSOHN wanted to help eliminate the use
of throwaway plastic bottles. He also wanted to create strainless
steel bottles that were fashions statements. His desire was to
help kids on soda pop start drinking water instead. The bottles
are definitely fashion statements.

At HOLLYWOOD GOES GREEN, I met STEVEN STARR
who produced the film FLOW. RENEÉ MAAS, The California
organizer for FOOD AND WATER WATCH was also there
RENEÉ was encouraging people to take back the tap and
get away from using throwaway plastic bottles.
I do not favor using water from the tap without devices
that eliminate the chemical additives. These EcoUsuable
Stainless Steel bottles are a great option for people
who need to use tap water.
Marc and Joey are making a great contribution
that can definitely lower the impact of plastic water bottle
waste. The beauty of these bottles will also appeal to teens
and as they did this Enchanted Gardener.
