Afghanistan War - is it time to leave?

Pulling out of Afghanistan and Iraq is better than staying there

Now that the attacks on America have subsided to just a few each year...
No, start again...
Now that the attacks on America have subsided to just that one ["9/11"] that we are not sure of WHO was behind it, what with all the unanswered questions such as how come so many WTC workers seemed to know enough not to come to work that day, and about controlled demolision evidence that was carted off so suddenly....
But no, I don't want to go into that. The POINT is that there are no "terrorist threats" of any great significance, and no attacks at all on American mainlands, so maybe it is time we began the process of pulling out of Afghanistan, and sure, why not Iraq too. I am focused on Afghanstan because my country - Canada - is not very involved in Iraq, but we are one of the main armies in the volitile south in Afghanistan.

So, with those sobering thoughts in mind, and the fact that there is not now, nor possibly ever was, an actual "terrorist threat" to America or North America or any of the developed nations involved in those occupations of Arab nations FROM those nations [just from internal populations in some countries such as Italy, Britian, France] - WE SHOULD GET OUT.
Pulling out simply means handing over the security duties to the police and military in Afghanistan and Iraq. When the foreigners are gone, there will be less security but there will also be less resentment and therefore fewer incidents of violence. It is the old "diminishing returns" equation at play here.
Obviously, this is not my own idea. We have all heard the argument before... I just want to say it again because we have to keep saying it, and to go on record as being on this side of the debate!
