Numbers of the local organic farmers have Community Supported Agriculture
Programs. This means you buy in in advance provide funds for the farmer
to have money to buy seeds and run the farm.
Your produce is a guaranteed commodity that you can pick up
at the Farmers' Market.
JR Organics CSA has a special offer. Organize a drop off point
and receive a box of free food.
Inland Emplre CSA is a delightful combo of foods from Deluz Farms
and Sage Mountain.
When I am in town, you can find me at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market
around 11. Email in advance. Plantyourdream@cox.net.
I will be glad to introduce you to the local farmers who are
here growing therapeutic quality food.
Dr. Bernard Jensen was able to get healing through using
locally grown organic food.
Fresh Food--right from the field--is the kind of food
that Hippocrates had in mind when he said,
"Let Food be Thy Medicine."
I love that our friends at Safeway now have the O line of Organic foods.
This is wonderful for cost cutting and getting NewBe's into Organic eating;
however, if you are eating to Recover or build your Vital Force
I highly recommend you find a way to support a CSA and become
intimate with your food.
1. This means growing some of it yourself.
2. This means being on a first name basis with the farmer growing the rest of your food.
If you are under the impression you cannot grow food,
Please join the Enchanted Garden Keep the "Beet" program.
Take a locally grown, organic beet.
Put it in the best potting soil you can find.
Grow the beet. Keep the beet and eat the beet greens.
I will have two outings this weekend where you can come
and meet Media Star Keep The "Beet"
She will be at the Art in the Garden
festivity this Saturday at
City Farmers Nursery
and also be traveling up to
the Slow Foods Event in Temecula on Sunday.
For more Details,
Read the Plant Your Dream Blog this week.
JR ORGANICS CSA
