Soilmates Garden work with Martha...what we did...

As the Press Conference unfolded June 25
on Community Farms & Gardens, I felt that my pressing
need was more help in our garden at the Enchanted garden Intentional Community.
The Press Conference was inspiring. I met Martha Kalaska there.
She wanted to come over the next day, and we spent two hours today together.
This summer, I intend to do a lot of cleanup here. I want to take on
the basement. Last week, the man from AT&T came and took out old boxes
of clutter in the basement. There was still a mass of wires. I felt
overwhelmed by all this remaining clutter of wires. We have Cox as our
provider. Martha is a former employee of Cox. She knows how to fix the wires.
I feel there are many things I can help her remember about self healing
and the Garden Experience. We will get together again.
Daikon Seeds, the hand of Martha Falaska
I told Martha to plant a small section, a circle of of soil surrounded
by local rocks at the proposed site. I suggested getting a neighbor to help.
I gave her Diakon seeds. These grow a radish that breaks up the soil and goes
deep. The intention was to ground the healing energy of the Press Confedrence
that we had the day before.

I woke this morning with a renewed energy that I hadn't felt
in a long time.
I left my home early so as not to be late for my date.
I found the street but was feeling anxious so I pulled into
a parking area and sat.
I felt the sun on my arms, my face. It was smiling at me
and I felt that serge of anticipation.
I started my car and drove to my destination.
I met with Leslie and I was taken in by his warmth.
I forgot the world and its pains as well as my own.
I learned many things about the different plants and soil
of the earth in general, but I also learned about myself.
So you see the love the Earth feels for us
as we show that love back by cultivating,
becoming spiritually connectd we too sread that joy and
awareness with others.
Thank you so Very much, Leslie, for bringing me
closer to home.

A Two Hour Session of Enchanted Gardening
with Martha Falaska
What we did:
1-Emptied one white bucketfrom front house garden.
2-Transplated four job's Tear plants to St Frances area.
They were in the bucket.
3-Cleared some grass and weeds from the St. Frances Garden area.
4-put attention on the Avocado tree.
Notices numbers of the baby avos are gone,
presumably the birds.
5- Fed Cheramoya. Gave mulch.

6- Dumped two buckets of food scrapes in bin area
to worms.
7- Collected worm castings. Putr in hole with Job's Tears.

2. Establishing Chollas Parkway Community Garden.
Advised Martha to make a friend of a neighbor and
create a small one foot garden area bordered by a circle
of rocks on the site to ground the energy of the Press Conference
from yesterday.
Send Martha home with paperwork.
We will meet again.
Asked her to make a cover and put in a three ring binder.
Cover says: Garden Management Journal.

Things I, Leslie, learned.
Reminded me to slow down.
Reminded me of how Paul Brenner M.D., old friend,
would counsel with
clients in his garden.
I saw me doing more of that too.
Things for me to do:
Organize my Plant Parenthood materials.
Have numbers for each.
Enchanted Garden materials...
These will be choices for people to have in their three ring notebooks...
