The language of religion
Power, control and greed

Fear and blame are its weapons. It preaches a language of redemption and love, all the while letting everyone know that all are just miserable sinners with no hope at all save that of following that hilly, rocky path laid out by those with hidden agendas. It stresses judgement, heaven and hell, and fear of those rulers, so emminent, that those who try to follow the path of the "straight and narrow" can never succeed. Fear follows every step they even imagine to take. This fear permiates society to the point that elected officials, who, in their delusion, think that they speak for their god. That the coins they make from using fear and manipulation are justly theirs. They think their version of salvation gives them the right to manipulate events for the benefit of their pocket books. They are in the right! No matter the devistation!
Little care or concern is offered to those petty masses who count for nothing in their garndiose scheme of things. The objet of those "father" oriented religions, their priests, ministers, politicians and other "spokespeople" is always, and has been, power and control. Any means to accomplish that power and control is fine. Lies, mis-truths, eroding ( or ursurping) the public rights are of no concern. Their pockets must be filled and their pockets have no bottom. There is never enough, they are never satisfied.
In the reading about great nations who have gone before, their downfall was greed. Has anyone thought about this? Will anyone wake upbefore it is too late?
Or are we doomed to repeat ( yet again) the destruction that follows the non-ethics
of power, control and greed?
