The day I blew a Chevell SS into the ditch.... This is a story about how a "Hot" Ford Torino blew the doors off a '69 Chevell SS 396..... It was back '83, I had just completed an overhaul of my 390 and just got it broke good... I was cruising @ 80 MPH at 06:36 in the morning; down Hwy 74, in NC, when in my rear view mirror, I saw some head lights coming up behind fast.... Now I knew it was not the police as they drove Fords , and this was a GM product... Well he come on up beside me and grinned, which made me mad... So I stomped it as I knew, My ford was faster.... Well we ran on up to about 112 MPH, and he did not go any faster.... So I just walked off from him.... He should know better than mess with my Torino.... Another day in the fast lane....
