Mississippi woods from a 100 miles north of New Orleans..... Bent and broken trees!!
All that is left of houses on the Miss. Gulfcoast... Note the mobile home residence!!
Just slabs on the ocean side... A few older houses survived...
These are what is left off homes on the East end Of New Orleans... Lights are not on no body is home... Entire shopping malls deserted, A Sam's Club, A Dillard's, some hotels, being rebuilt... Note the car still in the ditch... HUH!!
But in the city of New Orleans proper: Miss River Ferry in New Orleans...
Note the contractor; sleeping in his van; but work goes on... Don't ask how I get my pics... I am a pro don't try this at home kids...
These are some periwinkles, growing in front of the Sir Winston Churchill Memorial ... Beauty will exist even when man or nature are through with their rampages...
These are the fine accommodations for many of the people driven out of their homes! Very cramped quarters... HUH!!
Some street scenes... Plus a sunrise over the bridges to the West bank... and sunset over the Super dome... Don't ask how early I get up just enjoy the pics...
Many of the people I interviewed were driven from their homes.. But they were working and making do with what they had... This is the attitude we should have in this life... Change will come; we need to be ready to do what ever to keep things going... Help others when ever you can.... That is the message here, Hope springs eternal... Effort makes results real!!
So get off your duff if things are not going your way and see what you can do.... DUH!! Do some thing....
See Ya... K
