Eating Sprouts Tonight--Many Kinds
Sampled sprouts today
at our Whole Foods Market
Hillcrest 10th Anniversary
Local Vendor's Day.
Came home with a basket
full given me by Robin Taylor
of Sun grown Organic
Distributors, inc.
Sprout salad samples,
made from an array of
these health giving sprouts
were a treat and just
what I felt like eating
this Spring day when
my body is welcoming more
enzyme rich, chlorophyll
laden raw greens.

This is the Art I just made for the laminated poster
that will appear next to the wonderful sprouts and microgreens
that are grown by Sun Grown, a local San Diego Company.
They have been growing sprouts and microgreens for 20 years.
We are going feature their foods in our EarthFair Exhibit
on Sunday, and then turn them over to Philip Madeley and Susan
for the Raw Food Feast we will have Sunday night 7-10 PM
here at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community.

"It is a survival law:
The pure drives out the impure.
In the sprouts we find one of the purest
and cleanest foods around.
All disease is a sign of deficiency.
The sprout can help replace our body shortages
and put a new vital tissue in place of the old."

Lovely sprouts from Sun Grown Organics made up
my dinner tonight.
_____
Sun grown sprouts,
eating many kinds for dinner.
Made a sprout salad for Angelene
and Anna. Angelene is in mourning today.
We lost her father in surgery
yesterday. Somehow the sprout salad
so full of life energy seemed a welcome
meal--light, raw, full of life energy,
organic.
I came home from the Whole food Vendor's Day
meeting Robin Taylor, thw owner of this company
that was being featured as one of the local
vendors at Whole Foods Hillcrest. Andew Cannell
and Rattana Munoz spent he afternoon serving
up sprout salads.
I was thinking of going more raw this spring
so that I might get through next winter in better shape.
There was a wonderful repartee among the farmers and growers
today. Each ending the day sharing from their abundance.
I came home with an assortment of sprouts.
Manning the Vendor booth for Sun Grown Organic Distributors
at our Whole Foods Local Vendor Day
were Andrew Carnell and Rattana Munoz
pictured here. The sprouts were delightfully fresh,
and perfect Spring Faire. They were handing out
samples and many shoppers were delighted.
I will so happy to have this memory when
I purchase these Sun Grown Sprouts that
are stocked regularly here in Whole Foods Market.
I will let you know how far their distribution goes.
They are good Heart and Soul people and I am
supporting their Ripe Success.
Dr. Bernard Jensen considered Sprouts one of the
four Survival Fodos that we wrote about in
the Magic Survival Kit Series.
They are featured in the book I wrote for
him called "Survive This Day."
Here are the sprouts
I am sampling now:
Daikon Radish Greens--spicy and tangy...
Very pungent to the taste.
Organically grown Sunflower greens--
crunchy and fresh tasting, mild.
Organic Buckwheat--mild, gentle flavor,
kinda delicate, less crunchy than the sunflower,
easy to like, delicate green, I have always
been drawn to buckwheat sprouts. I highly
recommend you growing them.
Micro Rainbow mix==zesty, flavorful, nice
base for a sprout salad. Picture above.
Organic sugar pea sprouts--
they jump around, easy to escape, crunchy,
make me laugh, have squigly tails.light green.
I plan to grow some of these in soil and see
what happens.
Organic pea greens--easy to enjoy, healthy delicate
aftertaste, crucnhy stem, with healthy liquid feeling.
I am very excited to have all these sprouts now in my belly,
and so much good health coming back into Your Enchanted Gardener's
life.
