Q: Improved speed for CPU Powerbook G4 to allow
for other applications and more effective browser?
This site can do it but the expense is almost the cost
of a new mac.

YES. Mozilla allows me to upload images to Curezone.

I want to see if this allows me the MIRACLE of UPLOADING
digital images to Snapfish and Curezone. Internet Explorer
would not let me do this.

Macs. Crywolf...
His name is Bill, is speaks of offerings that he says
taking it as a Grain of Salt. I find his Grains very Valuable!

Tonight is the New Moon.
Lots of emotions today
in the backdrop.
Very lonely...really feel out of the loop
when I shop and see families and couples
and people who seem to fit in to a give and take
flow. I feel so out of it.
My closest friend is in touch but pretty much unavailable
for visits now.
Today was a gathering time for getting information
about Computer directions to go.
I did not Switch the OS on my Mac 9.1 as I thought
I might.
Greg at the Genius Bar at the Apple store helped me
pinpoint the disks to try and recommended a nearby
store when I can get a new harddrive for the G4 Powerbook
550. $189.00 plus about $90.00 to install.
I know the disks to use to replace the OS.
Thoughts now are to move critical things to
the OS 9.1 Mac, such as my Calendar and Address book.
I thought I might do that now.
I was easily able to see my Quicken 2004 data on the
Mac Pro. I was also able to see my web site on their
browser, which was a concern.
Greg recommended getting more memory for the G4 Powerbook
400. I am thinking of living that computer alone until I get
the Powerbook 550 functional.
I also explored getting a new Mac Pro ($1999.00).
I see where I can make the kind of DVD slide shows
I would like.
I would also be able to make Ipodcasts.
A couple drawbacks:
I use Appleworks for most of my word processing.
The new Mac Pro does not have Appleworks.
It supports Microsoft Word I believe, or a simple
application that they provide.
My address book and calendar is Now up to Date.
I do believe that company has an Upgrade.
All this research is taking me farther from finishing
my recordkeeping.
The computer I with the harddrive problem is behaving right now.
I am using it to Blog now.
It was acting out for two hours yesterday.
Do I dare run the Harddrive Test CD that I discovered today?
Wonder what it would say about the condition of this machine.
The store I am going to tomorrow for the New Hard drive is
called Cry Wolf.

Didn't feel to make the switch myself.
I am down at the Apple Store now, waiting for the
Genius Bar Consultant to work with me.
1. Make sure I can do the lnstall on the Baby Mac from its
9.1 to 9.2.2 OS....
2 How much to install new harddrive on te G4 550?
Ron would do #1 for $65.00 and #2 for $200.00 + $217.00 for the harddrive.
3. can I easily upgrade my Quicken 2004 on this new MacBook Pro?
Has it a Quicken 2006?
I have a disk to try.
