Don't Read this!
in Praise of Thoreau's "Walden"

Just went looking for the date
when one of my favorite Thoreau quotes
was written.
Started perusing "Walden"
and feel into the MS.
The book was written for Curezoners.
Be careful. You may find the essence
of what you need to know to be well.
What is your favorite quote you see in his book?
Here is one of mine:
"Oh but to see through each others eyes for
an instant!"
It is a paraphrase, I believe...but I do not want
to go back to the Whole book right now at
the link above.
It is too whole...too deliberate...too filled
with everlasting
ecstatic truths.
I attended UCLA for a year.
Through some fate, I was admitted
to the honors library secluded aside
for students with a much more sharpened
pencil mentality than mine.
One of the gifts of that year, was making love
with this book.
More than 30 years later, I still have the same
copy. I cannot say I have fully read each page.
Some one once said, maybe Thoreau said this, that
we might take as much time to read a book
as the author did writing it.
I am sure I have spent more time than Thoreau
on this book.
The book was written for students of life,
Curezoners.
