What is a Good Father?

what is Good Fathering? How does the pattern of
Good Fathering we received from our fathers iinfluence
the Way we honor our Creation..children and books, and art?

I just woke up with some inspiration
for the day. I am going to focus on
preparing for the Mark Victor Hansen
MEGA MARKETING UNIVERSITY
that begins tomorrow through writing
some things about The Seven Love Cures.

That is going to be my Focus for that event.

There is an insight I just had that I want to capture...
on Good Fathering...

It is too sweet and insightful to not drive me
out of bed. I am writing it now.
Thoreau says in his Journal:
"Write while the heat is in you!"

I teach, be a fireman on call.
If you want good writing, you need to
respond like a fireman.
When the inspiration hits, it will
burn up into cinders unless you
plant it with words...

On Good Fathering

I am aware this early morning
of a deep pattern I inherited from my Father.

It is a pattern to disrespect
and abandon Creations we have
birthed.

How many times have you heard of abused
wifes or single mothers suffer the complaint
of fathers who gave their Seed to make a Baby
but then did not show adult responsibility
to see that child through to the age of independence?

It is a major issue in our society.

Men enter her.
Men impregnate her.
Men fill her.
The Baby--the Seeds join
and create a Seed Dream.
The womb grows larger and larger.
Finally the Baby is born.

Good Fathering means sticking around.
Good Fathering means being there.
Good Fathering means seeing the Creation
to fulfillment.

Good Fathering does not end at the first orgasm.

Good Fathering is about other kinds of fulfillment.
Good Love Making is about more than orgasms
on the part of the man.

in this day, being a good Lover is about so much more
and thank God, women are asking to be heard
and touched and felt and seen in ways that are fulfilling
and good for their offspring.

I, as a seed, was emotional abandoned by my father
at an early age. He was simply not there for me.

The incredible conflict here is that in doing his service
to God and his community, he was not there for his own Creation.
He gave at the office, or the bedroom, and then like so many
other fathers, he was gone emotionally to his child.

In all fairness, I forgive him for much of this.
I know he felt he had to make a living.
I know he was a depression born child himself.
I know he never received from his father good fathering.

But, in the reality of my body,
he was never here for me.

And so this morning,
I am looking at this pattern.

Good God!

Look how I have become and do the same
as my Father!!!!

I give birth to Creation--tons of them.
I have birthed enough Creations to fill libraries.

I love sex. I love making love with words.
I love using my seeds to make new life.

So I write, and write, and write.
I make love with beauty.
I make love using Soul inspired gifts
that have been honed over generations.

I get high on the process of new creation.

I go so far as to bring a creation to the stage of
covers, and pages, and print, and photos and binding.

They I go to market.
Then I squirm with editors.
Then I hear the feedback and I give up.

I cannot tell you how many times I have given up.
I cannot tell you how many times I have been pregnant
with new creation, o the editors, to market,
and then abandoned my creative child when
I lost my sense of not being good enuf

I ask the universe--I ask all mothers,
I ask all women still bleeding
and flowering and full of life to forgive me.

The pattern of being a poor Father needs to stop here.
It needs to stop right now.

My loneliness needs to stop here.
My being a single parent of new creation needs to stop here.

I need to go into the Hansen MEGA EVENT
even if I have to crawl there
and I need to stand up for my Babe.

I need to FOCUS on the gift that I do not have too much
with me.

I need to bring out The Seven Love Cures,
and stop calling whatever I produce not enuf.

Enuf. Enuf.

It is time to be a Good Father
and claim the gentle and firm Manhood
that defines--Fully--being a Good Father.
