How much of the public outcry is false and wrong
** Why all the fuss over things that do not really impact everyone? **
Date: 5/25/2018 2:33:52 PM ( 6 y ) ... viewed 879 times Certain groups of people today tend to make waves and want to change things that do not limit them just because they are self centered! This goes back to people being cry babies and spoiled into believing things should only be their way!
Wrong answer! While no system is perfect {even the one being pushed by the change artist} many will still make a fuss.

A National Religion?
What some people think?
From a blog reply:
{Here is some of what they replied}
-----------------------------
1) The government's inscription of the phrase
"In God we trust" on coins and currency, as well as its addition of the words "under God" to the pledge of allegiance in 1954 and adoption of the phrase "In God we trust" as a national motto in 1956, were mistakes, which should be corrected.
{Actually the words have been on other US coins dating from the mid 1800s}
2) Under our Constitution,
the government has no business proclaiming that "we trust" "In God." Some of us do, and some of us don't; each of us enjoys the freedom to make that choice; the government does not and should not purport to speak for us in this regard.
3) The government does not have any business calling on its citizens to voice affirmation of a god in any circumstances, let alone in the very pledge the government prescribes for affirming allegiance to the country.
4) The unnecessary insertion of an affirmation of a god in the pledge puts atheists and other nonbelievers into a
Catch 22: Either recite the pledge with rank hypocrisy or accept exclusion from one of the basic rituals of citizenship enjoyed on "One Nation Under God" does not establish a National Religion
5) {This is a well worn phrase used to placate some minorities - yet the use of such words or phrases as "under God" does not limit anyone!} Be sides many claim not to believe in God so why do they care?

*** Therefore what I attempt to write here is the truth - not what I want or like!
If a majority believe that these words reflect the sentiment of the nation as a whole, then it is correct and proper to use them!
The understanding is that no one forces the words or phrases upon anyone;
so why all the hullabaloo?
The coins and dollars still spend and if it bothers someone to recite the pledge all they have to do is ignore it or just stand and say nothing at all. Same with
whomsoever picture in on the US Dollar bills. It is somewhat like going to a sporting event where they have a chant or fight song being sung - even thought I do not like these - all I do is not participate!
What hardship is that?
Really not much!
I believe there are just some Mandy-pansies who tend to grip at anything.
Because the truth will always be true. So get over it!
