My mission in life the last seven years has been to trust in the metal and spirit of my ‘68 VW Van, called the Enchanted Garden Mobile, and drive from San Diego to Santa Rosa & beyond, to support the #HeirloomExpo, the National Heirloom Expo.
The Journey represents my intention to save our Sacred Seed. My Journey, in part sponsored by Patricia Bragg, represents my own faith that all is possible when we travel in the direction of our life Purpose.
Rhonda is a welcoming presence at the front desk. She assists Patricia in many ways.
One of my most meaningful stops along the way, is to visit the Bragg property outside Goleta. The property itself is a living, growing shrine of flowers and artifacts exuding the care and Love of Patricia Bragg and the Bragg Health Crusade, that is now in its second 100 years of Service. I appreciate her staff very much, and the warm welcome I often receive from Rhonda, who is at the front desk, and assists Patricia.
Paul Bragg, Patricia’s beloved father and inspiration, started the American Health Food Store. I first heard of his triumphant accomplishments and dedication to uplift everyone he met from my very own health mentor, Dr. Bernard Jensen. Dr. Jensen’s life was grounded in the Health Sanatarium Tradition. Often as a last resort, patients would come out to his retreat at the Hidden Valley Health Ranch, where the simple practices of eating fresh organic food, bowel cleansing and exercise were always part of the health regimen. Dr. Jensen gave lectures every Tuesday and Sunday, on topics of inner and outer health.
Bragg Live Food Products were often part of the regimen — the Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar is a pillar among all who celebrate health and wellness. Dr. Bernard Jensen often spoke about Paul Bragg, his contemporary, and so I would meet with Patricia Bragg at various expo’s and conferences, where we became dear friends. Over the years, it has meant a great deal to feel her support in my own mission and projects.
The ideals of the Bragg Health Crusade and Dr. Bernard Jensen’s spiritual outlook were aligned with the ancient Essene Wholistic Healing Arts Model. When I met Edmond Bordeaux Szekely, the Essene 20th Century Renaissance Pioneer, he recognized me through the questions I asked, as being part of the Essene stream.
Nature contact and celebrating the reality that we can each help bring in 1000 Years of Peace through our outlook--these are the pillars of inspiration that Patricia Bragg has carried forward in her personal life and dedication. Her mission has uplifted hundred of thousands of people, and the products she makes and endorses have touched millions of lives.
It is a great honor—in small ways—to often gift those I meet at conferences and on my travels, with samples of Bragg products. Eyes light up. In the circles I travel; The Bragg Live Food Products are highly appreciated. Simply by gifting these samples, I am sharing a deep expression of my own spiritual outlook.
Patricia loves her flowers. Her property outside Goleta is a living tribute to Nature’s finer fragrances.
This year, as I entered the Bragg land my attention was immediately drawn to a stand of radiant pink flowers called Naked Ladies. Luther Burbank, America’s horticultural wizard, was interested in this flower.
Amazingly, everywhere I traveled this year, from Santa Barbara to Santa Rosa and beyond, I was met by this very special lily-like flower! The characteristic of the plant is that even in the harshest of soils, it puts out a graceful long stem, with no leaves. The plant itself represents Love, as I see it, and seems to emerge everywhere, almost miraculously, as if Angels themselves had planted its outcroppings.
On my six week journey this year from SoCal to Northern California, I found this flower blooming everywhere: including at the Frey Organic Ranch in Redwood Valley, at Luther Burbank’s Home and Gardens in Santa Rosa, on the Sebastopol property where Adrienne and I camped, as well as on the entry road of Patricia Bragg’s property.
Adrienne Prince, my assistant with Naked Lady at the Frey
Organic Vineyard.
On the Frey land in Redwood Valley, I first experienced the true mass of the root - it’s the size of a large softball. It was here that we transplanted one root ball into a pot, and dedicated it to Frey growth and our own growth. About a month later, the land was touched by fire, and yet I knew the roots of this flower were secure from fire.
On my trip home, in gratitude for a blessed journey, I was allowed to transplant one of the same beautiful flowers from the Patricia Bragg garden, into a pot. This second adoption I dedicated in prayer, to the success and continued growth of the Bragg Health Crusade, with Rhonda, Patricia’s assistant.
Upward and inward, we each grow in Faith. We will each grow, coming up sometimes from what appears to be barren soil. We continue to grow, strengthened by the Bragg Health Crusade, and all it represents.
