Life is?? #149 Ron Wyatt discoveries - 1 of
** Here is a man whom I have followed for years; like many people who search and seek the truth of The Bible - the world finds reasons to disprove and not believe The Holy Scriptures - he has been made a marked man! These discoveries have been dismissed by scientists, historians, creationists and even biblical scholars. {“He is the freeman whom the truth makes free"}
Date: 10/8/2017 1:51:36 PM ( 7 y ) ... viewed 749 times Ronald Eldon Wyatt (2 June 1933 – August 4, 1999) was an adventurer noted for advocating the Durupınar site as the site of Noah's Ark, along with many other alleged Bible related discoveries. These have been dismissed by scientists, historians, biblical scholars, and other creationists, but his work continued to have a strong following.
Wyatt was working as a anesthetist in a hospital in Madison, Tennessee,[1] when in 1960, he saw a picture in Life magazine of the Durupınar site, a boat-like shape on a mountain near Mount Ararat. The resulting widespread speculation in evangelical Christian circles that this might be the actual Noah's Ark started Wyatt on his career as an amateur archaeologist.
From 1977 until his death in 1999 he made over one hundred trips paid at his own expense to the Middle East, his interests widening to take in a wide variety of references from the Old and New Testaments.
** Yet, he never went seeking fame or fortune.
By the time of his death in 1999, Wyatt claimed to have discovered several sites and artifacts related to the Bible and Biblical archaeology. These included:
Noah's Ark (the Durupınar site, located approximately 29 kilometers (18 mi) south of Mount Ararat)[2]
Anchor stones (or drogue stones) used by Noah on the Ark[3]
The post-flood house, grave markers and tombs of Noah and his wife[4]
The location of Sodom and Gomorrah and the other Cities of the Plain: Zoar, Zeboim and Admah[5]
Sulfur/brimstone balls from the ashen remains of Sodom and Gomorrah[6]
The area of Djoser's pyramid complex believed to be the remains of Joseph's grain distribution bins used during the seven-year famine[7]
The Tower of Babel site (in southern Turkey)[8]
How the Egyptians may have built the pyramids[9]
The site of the Israelite's' crossing of the Red Sea (located in the Gulf of Aqaba)[10]
Chariot wheels and other relics of the army of Pharaoh at the bottom of the Red Sea[11]
The site of the biblical Mount Sinai (in Saudi Arabia at Jabal al-Lawz)[12]
A chamber at the end of a maze of tunnels under Jerusalem containing artifacts from Solomon's Temple, including the Ark of the Covenant[13]
The site of the Crucifixion of Jesus[14]
Christ's blood in an "earthquake crack" beneath the crucifixion site, the DNA of which, according to Wyatt, contained 24 chromosomes, rather than 46[15]
Burial pots off the coast of Ashkelon[16]

Albert Barnes' Notes on the Whole Bible
Shall know the truth - See the notes at John 7:17.
The truth shall make you free - The truth here means the Christian religion. Compare Galatians 3:1; Colossians 1:6.
The doctrines of the true religion shall make you free - that is, it will free you from the slavery of evil passions, corrupt propensities, and grovelling views.
The condition of a sinner is that of a captive or a slave to sin. He is one who serves and obeys the dictates of an evil heart and the promptings of an evil nature, Romans 6:16-17; “Ye were the servants of sin;” - Romans 6:19; “Ye have yielded your members servants unto iniquity;” - Romans 6:20; Romans 7:6, Romans 7:8, Romans 7:11; Romans 8:21; Acts 8:23; “Thou art in the - bond of iniquity;” Galatians 4:3, Galatians 4:9. The effect of the gospel is to break this hard bondage to sin and to set the sinner free. We learn from this that religion is not slavery or oppression.
It is true freedom.
“He is the freeman whom the truth makes free,
And all are slaves beside.” - Cowper.
The service of God is freedom from degrading vices and carnal propensities; from the slavery of passion and inordinate desires. It is a cheerful and delightful surrender of ourselves to Him whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light.
