The Gov of CA declared a State of Emergency regarding the #PorterRanch #GasLeak January 6, eleven weeks after the well blowout. Erin Brockovich names this leak the biggest environmental catastrophe since the BP spill. It may take months to solve the condition. Bobby Kennedy Jr. explains the illegality of the well blowout clearly. I'm waiting to hear from #FeelTheBern Bernie Sanders on #PorterRanch #GasLeak. I'd like him to make it clear that it is time that we as Nation take definitive steps now for energy independence from broken systems that have failed us.
Such a leak as this was unthinkable. There was no #SafetyValve in place when that might have been the obvious solution.
At the deeper level, this leak is a leak in our #EnergySystem. Look around, Dear Friends. Look at the other Energy Systems we are using that are too Big too Fail and have failed us. It is clearly time to push the Restart Button for each of us living on planet earth.
Look at our Agricultural System, that system is failing us everywhere.
Look at the way we honor SacredSeeds, beginning with dishonoring Ourselves as #RareSeeds intended to grow a more beautiful world.
2016 is a profound time to be alive. We are compelled to reinvent ourselves and feel the Pulse of Nature. Nature is speaking loud and clear. Are we listening?
This is no time for feeling defeated, or using the majority of our energy in Anger or name calling.
Nature is compelling us to Cooperate with her through learning to Cooperate with each other.
I was witness to the San Fernando Earthquake of 1971 when the downtown area of that city caved in. For those two weeks--The only two weeks in my life that I I was editor of a local newspaper, --The San Fernando Sun--I witnessed areas near Porter Ranch come together to meet a common crisis.
There was no water, so the local breweries brought water to the people in beer trucks. The People of all Religions came together to lift and help each other. They had to do that. I lived not far from that area that is now leaking out. People had to evacuate their homes in fear that the nearby VanNorman Dam was about to burst. When it leaked out, it reveals the remnants of a school house where indigenous people and people of different races came together to learn. The Government of San Fernando wanted to tear down the Lopez Adobe, a relic. The earthquake came. The city fell down. The Lopez Abobe stood up with a few more cracks.
At 5:59 am, the residents of my neighborhood, not far from Cal State Northridge, did not know each other. Then, the land shook. By 6:05, we were in the street in nightgowns talking to each other, many for the first time. Catastrophe, as a way of bringing people together. Erin Brockovitch may have nailed it when she called the #PorterRanch #GasLeak Blowout as example of insanity. Doing insane things that are doomed to fail. It's time for a restart for living on planet earth.
That restart begins one seed at a time, beginning with what we plant now.

The story was in Time Magazine December 15.
Erin Brockovitch began calling this the biggest environmental Catastrophe since BP. I personally consider Fukushima the biggest environmental catastrophe.

I’m hearing about people smelling the gas and getting sick in Chatsworth, Canoga Park, Reseda, and San Fernando. This is all over the valley. People outside the Porter Ranch zip code are being told that they are not eligible for funds for relocation. This has to change.
Too much info about #Fukushima thanks to Gerold. Gerold's Blog raises important speculations and theories that bring up deep emotions in many readers including rage and grief. Could the heating of the ocean be caused by #fukushima ? Is #fukushima influencing #ElNino ?
*Well, at least we do not have to worry about Fukushima, right?

We don't have baby ducks covered in crud oil so the media is not reporting the facts of the Porter Ranch Gas leak, New environmental study reports the porter ranch Gas leak is equivalent to the emissions of 7 million cars every day. To put that in perspective Los Angeles only has 6.2 million cars. It is the largest environmental disaster since the BP oil spill.
But Obama or Governor Brown haven't acknowledged it. they are both hypocrites about global change. Obama quote...“I am an island boy. Some of their nations could disappear entirely, and as weather patterns change, we might deal with tens of millions of climate refugees in the Asia-Pacific region.” Did you know 2000 porter ranch resident had to relocate "refugees" because of this Gas leak?

Updated June 27,2015: The NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) retracted its earlier announcement and admitted that the warming of the Pacific is NOT caused by El Nino but they kept it quiet.
