This Great Evolutionary Leap
Written about the Winter Solstice, 2013:
The Sun and Mercury both very close to the Galactic Center show that those past Galactic Center energies and how we decided to use them are again front and center for the next 90 days. The sextile to Neptune shows it’s a very productive time (and has been since 2011 till now) in aligning ourselves with a greater human ideal, an easier flow within our collective setup, and becoming more sensitive, compassionate, and forgiving as we and everyone we know stand collectively on the edge of this great evolutionary leap.

Fukushima Radiation Damages Thyroid Glands Of California Babies -
Fukushima should be the last (out of many) experiences we need to help us realize that we don’t have to produce energy this way. Boiling water using nuclear energy in order to generate enough heat and steam to push a turbine is a very elementary way to generate energy. We have technologies that render nuclear power obsolete, like free energy.
We’ve had multiple studies indicate the correlation between consciousness and our physical material world. Thoughts, prayers and healing energy sent to Fukushima and the waters affected also helps. Incidents like the one at Fukushima are an indicator for us to utilize the power of consciousness to heal the planet as well as ourselves, and to shift our means of producing energy to something better. We still have a window of opportunity to change things, events like this should cause the entire collective to stop and at a stand still, stop with their daily routine, and just say enough is enough, it doesn’t have to be this way and there are better ways to do things here.

Fear vs. Radiation: The Mismatch

CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts — It has been more than two and a half years since the Fukushima nuclear disaster began to unfold, and still the world watches events closely, fearfully. The drumbeat of danger seems never ending: Earlier this month, to take just one example, international news reports spread word that six workers at the plant had been accidentally doused with radioactive water.
Yet leading health scientists say the radiation from Fukushima has been relatively harmless, which is similar to results found after studying the health effects of Chernobyl. With all that evidence, why does our fear of all things nuclear persist? And what peril does that fear itself pose for society?

In the very week of the UN's release of UNSCEAR's report on health effects of the catastrophe at Fukushima Daiichi, an op-ed appeared in the New York Times, Fear vs. Radiation: The Mismatch.
Coming as it does in the midst of the last few months' worth of ever worsening conditions and increasing radioactive releases at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear facility, it isn't difficult to understand the purpose of this bit of reassuring fluff. It was written by David Ropeik, an instructor of risk perception and risk communication at the Harvard Extension School. Ropeik also created and directs a training program for journalists - Improving Media Coverage of Risk. Thus we begin with the understanding that Ropeik's subject of expertise is not radiation or the health effects of radiation exposures. It is the "management" of public risk perception.

A mysterious illness that first appeared in June in Washington state has now spread from Sitka, Alaska, to San Diego. Starfish first waste away and then "turn into goo," divers say. Whatever is causing it can spread with astonishing speed — a healthy group of starfish can die in just 24 hours.

JULY PLANTING SEEDS FOR THE WELL BEING OF FUKUSHIMA
One of the most Sacred Experiences I had for 2012 was planting seeds of KAMUT ® Khorasan Ancient wheat with Chiko Shiina, a farmer and peace advocate from Fukushima. These ancient seeds were appreciated very much.
The TTP negotiations were happening at the same time I'm San Diego. I went from recording the protest to this Sacred Experience. It was near July 4.

This photo below is of a very special memory in my life. I met this woman when she was trying out to be a cheerleader at Los Angeles Valley College, where we both went to school. I was the Commissioner of Men's Athletics and in that role was head of the Rally Committee. I had the responsibility of choosing with others the Cheerleaders! There is a mural at the school of the Football Coaches from that year. I visited it a few year's back. This delightful woman was my girlfriend when I left in 1968 for Pleasanton, CA to work at the Job Corp Center there.
PARKS JOB CORPS CENTER-SUMMER OF LOVE-1968
Martin Luther King once mentioned Pleasanton in a famous speech he gave. That summer I helped promote a band of Black Youth. The lead was Charles Atkins from Reform, Alabama. He went to Vietnam. I never heard from him again. We would travel around the Bay Area doing events. My Vista Project was called Operation Good Neighbor. It was an all white area around Pleasanton. The band was all black. One of the students at the Parks Job Corps Center learned to box there. He later waved an American Flag in the ring when he won in the Olympics. His name was George Foreman. The youth would go into San Francisco Friday and Saturday night. I was a chaperone. There was a place called the Avalon Ballroom where they wanted to go, so I went too. There was a lady singing with a horse sounding voice. I never heard of her before. There were colored lights massaging our heads on the walls. The band was called Big Brother and the Holding Company and the ladies name was Janis Joplin.
LIVING IN THE MIDST OF HISTORY
I have always been in the midst of history recording and watching it through my eyes and lens. My friend Lurrae Lupone was talking to me this morning. She said she thought my life would make good reading. I write everyday on the Plant Your Dream Blog. I am convinced that we are living in the most precious of moments.
