Update:
Monday October 28 2013:
Read this poem on stage:
The Sight of a bulb coming up from the soil
totally unexpected where last year it bloomed
(Oh now I remember) confirms the on-going nature of life inside me,
restoring something I'd given up on, a feeling so deep
I can't name it. Yesterday's dream,
a Seed idea I planted, again becomes a covenant
there will be a tomorrow.

Had a powerful healing day on Sunday. Will share later. Ted is a hoot. Holly, a sweetheart.
Holly Guzman with Ted Kaptchuk, Pacific Symposium 2013, after his keynote address. The tape is available from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
THESE WERE THE REMARKS I INTENDED TO SAY SUNDAY MORNING IF THE SPACE AND OPPORTUNITY OPENED UP AT THE PACIFIC SYMPOSIUM 2013. I WAS INVITED ON STAGE. IN THE TIME ALLOTTED I DID THE POEM AT THE END
Ted Kaptchuck, years ago, was offered a job at Harvard University Medical School in their pursuit to come to terms, ultimately, perhaps, with The Web That has No Weaver. Ted Kaptchuk was our gift as a movement to the Biomedical Model, yet it is for us in TCM to remember that we are a Nature Driven movement sponsored and loved by a Nature's Original Technology that has grown here on earth and will continue to grow here. Nature and her plants are calling us home as much as Ted said he can home last night when he spoke to us.
Nature is calling us all home now. She wants us. She wants us to Know how to grow our own food and our own medicines. She wants us to cultivate Grassroots movement through being one with the earth.
Qi: It is not for us to define it, it is for us to direct it and be the director of it because the Earth and the Soul are Soilmates.
I spoke to Steve Rosenblatt, the man who helped bring us here today when he sat in a meeting at the Hotel Del Coranado Hotel more than 25 years ago with some of the very souls sitting in this room today.
Why did you get into acupuncture I asked? He said, he did it because I wanted to transform Mainstream Conventional Medicine. Let us replant that seed today with Ancient Wheat and through being the ancient and future grains of wheat that nature intended. We are here to help mainstream medicine get out of its boxes through making sure we are in our own lives Cultivating Grassroots movement.
The transformation of medicine...How long will it take? How Fast Can a Dream Grow? ~ As Fast as a Blade of Grass.
