The Natural Product Expo West Floor is open Friday, Saturday Sunday, March 8,9-10 to visit the top vendors and see the best of new products for the natural Product industry. Thursday March 7 is one of the most exciting days of the event with the Fresh Ideas Tent showing off the Organic Vendors, many who display just at this one day event. Thursday around noon is the Organic Farming Research Foundation Luncheon. Wednesday, March 5, 5-7 pm, I have the Nutracon Awards on my Radar. After submitting 350,000 signatures, GMO labeling advocates are rallying to support I-522, the People’s Right to Know Genetically Engineered Food Act, in Washington State. I-522, one of a handful of state initiatives calling for GMO labeling, is considered one of the best chances for GMO labeling in 2013.
Learn how you can support this effort, along with lessons learned from California’s Prop 37 and what’s happening on a national level to require labeling of genetically engineered foods, from a panel of speakers and industry leaders deeply involved in these efforts.

One of my joys each year is connecting with Aramark Kitchen head Jim Tripp. Over the years, the presence of the Organic Farming Research Foundation --OFRF--and Organic Trade Association--OTA-- chefs interacting with the Aramark Kitchen staff, and the presence of #expowest at the Anaheim Convention Center have significantly influenced its Greening and Moving Organic Forward.

in 2011, The USDA and Washington, et all, began the movement toward deregulation of Biotech Crops through announcing that we would lift restrictions, and allow Biotech Alfalfa. This epic decision inspired the Gary Hirshberg Organic Alfalfa Patch growing at home here at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community in San Diego. The entire year, I grew and planted organic alfalfa in little Biosmart Sugar bagasse pots. One was welcome to the stage my organic hero Walt Robb, co-CEO of Whole Food Market. Passover Village in the desert--Seed to Grow Our Own Matzah with KAMUT® Khorasan ancient wheat continues. 1/2 million more Tower of Pizza Garden Project kicks off in Long Beach in April. Working with the Youth at San Diego State, e3's, Greenfest, Rancho La Puerta and Tecate Visits--continuing the vision to support gardens in Tecate and the flowering of Traditional Medicine. Growing A Bread we will prepare and eat as Edmond Bordeaux Szekely and Deborah Szekely experienced during the Essene School of Life Era. Late Summer--Caravan to the National Heirloom Expo before September 11. Fall--time to get to Bioneers! Participation in the Pacific Symposium 2013.

I am on the computer way too much. Two of my models are Dr. Bernard Jensen whose best years were from 67-87, and Deborah Szekeley, Co-Founder of Rancho La Puerta. Deborah turned 90 last May. She feels 60. Her latest project is Wellness Warrior, a group that will lobby Washington and get us off the couch. Deborah and her family are a constant inspiration. I have had a love affair going for more than fifteen years. One of the archetypal stories of my life appears in a book called "The Legend of Zarathustra," That was later printed as "The Book of Asha." This is a story about the wisdom contained in a grain of wheat. In 2011, at the not to be missed Organic Summit in Baltimore, Bob Quinn, one of my heroes in Organic Trade, gave me the gift of KAMUT® Khorasan Ancient wheat from his Montana farmer cowbow hat.
