Medicinal White Sage
Native Americans have long used sacred white sage in ceremony and as medicine. I use it for medicinal purposes in water and in tea.

I had a healing with Chumash medicine woman Cecilia Garcia http://www.chumashmedicinewoman.com/
June 3, 2011 and she told me to put one sage leaf in my drinking water per day and another sage leaf every night for tea.
Sacred White Sage used as medicine connects a person to Spirit, helps to heal whatever needs healing be it mental, emotional, physical or spiritual, and helps whatever medication or supplements you're taking to work more effectively. Sage tea, drunk one hour before bedtime, helps a person to sleep at night [SIMMER one white sage leaf --dried or fresh-- in water for a few minutes. DO NOT BOIL as this destroys the property of the sage.]
Cecilia gave me some fresh white sage that she picked herself from the mountains of California (she has a permit to do so; it is ILLEGAL to take white sage from State Parks in California without a permit). I was running out of the sage and looked for sources online. I found several, but liked this one the best:

From the website: "My name is Elliot Vega. I have been gathering and bundling California white sage for several years. My life has changed completely as a result of creating a relationship with this wonderful native plant. Before I began gathering sage, many negative things were happening to me. Now, I feel my life has truly been blessed. I love sage and sage loves me.
I gather my native sage on very sacred and private grounds in California. Gathering sage and making sage bundles is a prayer and a meditation for me. Each of my sage bundles carries the prayers of my heart to yours. I strongly believe in the healing and purifying powers of sage and hope my smudge sticks bring you blessings too."
I really appreciate that Mr. Vega has a sacred relationship with the sage and that he harvests it by hand from private land (rather than poaching it illegally from State Parks as I've heard that some people do).
Also, he gives FREE SHIPPING! to the continental U.S.A.
The sage Mr. Vega sent me arrived today; I am very pleased to report that he put the dried sage leaves directly into the re-used cardboard mailing box and did not use any plastic packaging materials!! This appeals greatly to my eco-heart.
Blessings for this day!
