The Natural Product Expo West --NPEW --
March 10-11-12-13 2011 at the Anaheim Convention Center
brings together leaders in the organic field
who are helping redefine Real Food Safety
according to an organic standard.
Many leaders here played a role in the recent
Food Safety Modernization Act S-510, a hot
topic for months on this Plant Your Dream Blog
where we said that our elected reps needed
to Chew On Food Safety: A National Conversation
is Needed.
More voices need to enter in the Dialogue
on Science, Ethics, and Food.
The USDA said that organic alfalfa
and other seeds could co-exist with GMO;
but then President Obama intervened
and gave free reign deregulation to Genetically Engineered seeds.
As Your Enchanted Gardener, I found myself
hearing a call from organic alfalfa seeds.
I started to grow alfalfa in pots and hope to bring
some as a statement to the Natural Product Expo West.
People are uprising all over the world.
We really need an organic uprising!
Please see my video called
Organic Uprising Still Growing!
I look forward to catching up with
a number of the organic stakeholders at the hot
networking events at the NPEW.

ORGANIC UPRISING!
IT's TIME TO GET INVESTED
IN PROTECTING NATURE'S ORIGINAL TECHNOLOGY
AS EXPRESSED IN HEIRLOOM SEEDS
My response to the recent deregulation of GE alfalfa,
beets, and soon other GE foods was to begin to grow
organic alfalfa here at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community
Growing Grounds.
I want to feature more natural organic products in our kitchen.
The dream I have is to create a place where the urganic uprising
takes a stand and influences our nearby community, including
the students of San Diego State University, within walking distance.
YIKES!!
UPDATE
USDA GIVES AWAY ORGANIC ALFALFA
TO THE GE GROWERS
Organic alfalfa Seedlings,
may they come to symbolize
a widespread movement where
more and more people grow their own food.
Organic Alfalfa seedlings are easy to grow.

in 2005, I worked with the San Diego Hilton Bay front to pioneer
three days of local organic food at the Hilton. Glad to see
that the Organic Center will be at the Hilton this year.
BOB SCOWCROFT
OF THE ORGANIC FARMING RESEARCH FOUNDATION
ANNOUNCED HE WILL STEP DOWN
The Thursday March 10
Organic Farming Research Foundation luncheon is a not to be missed
event bringing together organic stakeholders.
Chefs come together to provide an incredible feast.
Over the years, the staff at the Anaheim kitchen has been
influenced by the organic presence in their kitchen.
In earlier years a highlight of the NPEW was the Organic Trade Association
dinner. Chefs also worked side by side the great Anaheim
chefs. A lot of cross pollination occurred.
Hot networking events kick off at the annual
Organic Farming Research Foundation Luncheon
March 10, 2011. This is always a jam packed day
with the Fresh Ideas Tent also on my agenda of
events to attend.
Bob, who has headed the Organic Farming Research Foundation
for more than 20 years, announced he is stepping down
recently. I look forward to catching up with him. http://ofrf.org/community/scowcroft_ret.html
ORGANIC CENTER BANQUET
MARCH 11, 2011 is a HOT NETWORKING EVENT
The organic Center Banquet,
held this year Friday night, at 6:30 pm-9:30 pm
is where I check in once a year with the leaders
of the Natural Product Industry.
This and a a number of the other evening
events are the social highlights where I meet
with old and new friends.
I have been part of the Press Corps for the Natural Product Expo West
for more than a dozen years, and enjoy my nearly visits
with some very delightful friends from New Hope Natural Media.
The Natural Product Expo West is my first main event of the year,
although last year was unusual being that I did press
for the California Small Farm Conference as well as the
AAAS, the largest science association in our nation,
HIGHLIGHT OF 2010
The highlight of 2010 for me was the increased
popularity of the Plant Your Dream Blog, the original
here on Curezone that in December and January 2010
had up to 12,000 cumulative page views a day for my
more than 7300 individual blogs.
Among the highest ranking individual Blog
was This was that has more than 6000 individual page views.
The growth spurt in 2010 came in the Fall after being published
on the Huffington Post.
The Chewing on Food Safety Post, on the issue of
The Food Safety Modernization Act, had a high readership.
The article was picked up on numbers of other sites Food
Freedom News and the Consumer legal Defense Fund site
here.

I will be looking forward to connecting at the Organic Center

The ability for the two forms of farming to co-exist is questionable.

to hear more definitive answers. I dod not believe they can co-exist.
