The following from Wikipedia:
Syncretism is the attempt to reconcile disparate or contrary beliefs, often while melding practices of various schools of thought. This may involve attempts to merge and analogise several originally discrete traditions, especially in the theology and mythology of religion, and thus assert an underlying unity allowing for an inclusive approach to other faiths.
Syncretism also occurs commonly in literature, music, the representational arts and other expressions of culture. (Compare the concept of eclecticism.) Syncretism may occur in architecture as well. There also exist syncretic politics, although in political classification the term has a somewhat different meaning.
Life is full of many things which tend to take our time... These things become idols to most of us...
Cloths, shoes, cars, sports, money, sex, drink, food, and almost anything you could can think of...
Learning what you need and what is really important in your life is your real purpose here!
It is time to consider what your idols are then put them in place! Because you can not follow two Gods!
There can only be one main object in your life... Maybe it is time you stop and see who or what you follow on this pathway of life!
If (we) you are ever going to get away from the idols in life; you must start by recognizing the real purpose of existence! It is not about you! Or the things you want...
It is about coming to follow the one true God...
All these other things are in the way, placed there by the opposer who does not want you to know the truth! Now you can say what ever about me, this blog yet the truth remains that there is only one way to have Salvation through Yeshua...
Everything is just in the way! Think long and hard on this dear friend!
