Khyber Pass Gallery owner Sadiq Tafiq hosts an evening with renowned international authors Dr. Masura Emoto and Dr. Leonard Horowitz speaking about how water, music and sound frequencies can change the world. Both have written several best-selling books on this topic. Evening includes Afghan dinner, ethnic musicians, local artists' works on sale, silent auction, raffle and valet parking. Proceeds will go to the women and children of Afghanistan's newest schools, founded by Mr. Tawfiq. (501C)

The two were keynote speakers the following
days at LIFE H20, a CONCERT FOR THE LIVING WATER
in its LONG BEACH BELMONT SHORES VENUE.
The even has venues around the world.
Drs. Emoto and Horowitz will be joining local Laguna resident
and Khyber Pass Gallery Owner Sadiq Tawfig as he hosts this
colorful event celebrating Afghan culture. Sadiq will speak on
developing educational programs and international under-
standings based on LOVE. An Afghan buffet will be served.
Local artists and musicians will combine to create a joyful
celebration of peace and support for the children of Afghanistan.
Local and international musicians will perform contributing their
talents along with many others in setting the mood for this
worthy cause.

The Khyber Pass was founded in 1980 as "a labor of love" by Sadiq Tawfiq. Born in Herat, and educated at the University of Kabul, Tawfiq is an Afghan- American who is grateful for the opportunity he found in America to combine his love of art, history and Afghan culture in a business that benefits both cultures. "Both his grandfather and father were well-known merchants in Afghanistan. They instilled in me an appreciation our country’s tribal art and, in particular, a deep love for the beautiful rugs that are still hand-woven by families using traditional methods more than 4,000 years old." A tribal art expert, Tawfiq believes strongly in the power of art to help build bridges of cultural understanding. He regularly lectures at schools and universities and has served as a technical advisor on movies such as Rambo III and Three Kings.

Masaru Emoto was born in Yokohama in July 1943. He is a graduate of the Yokohama Municipal University's department of humanities and sciences with a focus on International Relations. In 1986 he established the IHM Corporation in Tokyo. In October of 1992 he received certification from the Open International University as a Doctor of Alternative Medicine. Subsequently he was introduced to the concept of micro cluster water in the US and Magnetic Resonance Analysis technology. The quest thus began to discover the mystery of water.
He undertook extensive research of water around the planet not so much as a scientific researcher but more from the perspective of an original thinker. At length he realized that it was in the frozen crystal form that water showed us its true nature. He has gained worldwide acclaim through his groundbreaking research and discovery that water is deeply connected to our individual and collective consciousness

Dr. Horowitz’s published works include dozens of peer-reviewed scientific articles and three American best-sellers. In 1999, Dr. Horowitz received the coveted "Author of the Year Award" from the World Natural Health Organization. More recently, he was honored as a "World Leading Intellectual" by officials of the World Organization for Natural Medicine, and knighted Cavalier Leonard George Horowitz by leaders of The Sovereign Order of Orthodox Knights Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem.
